(S3E18) Pack Dynamics: A Teen Wolf Podcast - Riddled

Well. Stiles is having quite the bad day, isn't he?

In 3×18, "Riddled," Stiles goes missing and everyone searches for him. Scott, Isaac, Lydia, and Aiden all end up in his bedroom, investigating the murder board. The Sheriff bundles Scott and Isaac off to the station while Lydia insists on staying—the red strings have something to tell her. The APB turns up Stiles' jeep at the hospital, which Melissa proceeds to search from tip to tail.

Meanwhile, Stiles is stuck in a literal bear trap in some sort of dark, industrial basement, with a guy in a bomber jacket, heavily bandaged hands, and a mouth full of riddles around sharp, metal teeth.

Derek and Scott talk about chemosignals, Lydia hears an MRI machine in her mind, and, in the end, Stiles ends up in a coyote den.

If everyone has it, do you need to lose it?

00:00:13,240 --> 00:00:16,000
You're listening to PAC
Dynamics, a Fandom on the Rocks

2
00:00:16,000 --> 00:00:19,920
podcast.
Welcome back to PAC Dynamics, a

3
00:00:19,920 --> 00:00:22,320
Teen Wolf podcast.
I am Emily.

4
00:00:22,560 --> 00:00:26,320
And I'm Allison.
And this is season 3 episode 18

5
00:00:26,440 --> 00:00:28,720
riddled.
Stuff is happening.

6
00:00:29,280 --> 00:00:33,160
There's a lot of shit happening.
This was an action-packed

7
00:00:33,880 --> 00:00:36,160
episode.
And like, just when I thought I

8
00:00:36,160 --> 00:00:40,400
knew where it was going, I was
hit in the emotional place.

9
00:00:40,400 --> 00:00:44,200
So like it's what happens when
you watch when you don't watch

10
00:00:44,200 --> 00:00:48,280
the source material as often as
you should and you are hit

11
00:00:48,280 --> 00:00:50,400
constantly with like the fandom
interpretation.

12
00:00:50,680 --> 00:00:53,000
There were just things that came
back in this episode that I did

13
00:00:53,000 --> 00:00:54,520
not remember were in this
episode.

14
00:00:54,520 --> 00:00:59,240
And I, I, I, I had to hide.
I had to not be perceived.

15
00:00:59,240 --> 00:01:02,640
I had to deal with some very
tenderoni feelings in my own

16
00:01:02,640 --> 00:01:03,840
heart.
Tenderoni.

17
00:01:04,480 --> 00:01:08,000
My little tenderoni feelings and
it was it was a lot, but this

18
00:01:08,000 --> 00:01:12,360
episode was great and I it it
confirms a lot of like lore,

19
00:01:12,360 --> 00:01:15,840
which I really appreciate.
But no, this episode where where

20
00:01:15,880 --> 00:01:19,720
once again we are clicking up
the roller coaster and it's very

21
00:01:19,720 --> 00:01:21,920
exciting.
After suffering from

22
00:01:22,120 --> 00:01:26,560
hallucinations, which OK, yeah,
Styles goes missing, Scott and

23
00:01:26,560 --> 00:01:30,560
the others set off on a search
and Lydia has to try and master

24
00:01:30,560 --> 00:01:33,000
her new abilities.
This episode aired February

25
00:01:33,000 --> 00:01:36,760
10th, 2014.
So it is the middle of the night

26
00:01:37,320 --> 00:01:39,840
and Scott gets a phone call from
Styles.

27
00:01:40,480 --> 00:01:42,880
I really appreciate that they
have that kind of friendship

28
00:01:42,920 --> 00:01:46,960
like you would assume so, but
when when you're confronted with

29
00:01:46,960 --> 00:01:48,840
the fact that you have to call
somebody in the middle of the

30
00:01:48,840 --> 00:01:51,680
night, you like actually have to
then do it and it's a real test.

31
00:01:52,400 --> 00:01:55,160
Yeah, I felt now that you say
that like I feel bad, 'cause my

32
00:01:55,160 --> 00:01:58,040
phone is on Do not Disturb
starting at 9:30.

33
00:01:58,280 --> 00:02:01,880
That's what like Eddie, I tell
everyone who's like on my, on my

34
00:02:01,880 --> 00:02:04,040
list of people who I would
actually pick up for at that

35
00:02:04,040 --> 00:02:07,080
hour of the morning, like call
until I pick up my phone.

36
00:02:07,360 --> 00:02:10,199
Like I, I had to like look at
them in their face with my face

37
00:02:10,199 --> 00:02:13,840
and be like, call me until I
pick up the phone because my

38
00:02:13,840 --> 00:02:16,600
phone is on do not disturb.
It'll, it'll start ringing after

39
00:02:16,600 --> 00:02:19,000
like two or three phone calls in
consecutive order.

40
00:02:19,280 --> 00:02:21,680
But like, keep pushing the
button until I pick up.

41
00:02:22,280 --> 00:02:25,080
Don't think you're bothering me.
You have to trick my phone into

42
00:02:25,080 --> 00:02:27,440
thinking something.
I should probably put a few

43
00:02:27,440 --> 00:02:32,200
people on my like push through.
Your push through list to be

44
00:02:32,200 --> 00:02:35,040
like if you actually call me at
zero o'clock in the morning like

45
00:02:35,040 --> 00:02:38,680
I wanna be, I need the phone to
make noise so that I'm here for

46
00:02:38,680 --> 00:02:41,120
you like.
'Cause honestly, my phone hasn't

47
00:02:41,120 --> 00:02:45,120
rung since, I don't know, 2009.
It's been on silent.

48
00:02:45,520 --> 00:02:49,800
It's always really, it's always
really unsettling when my phone

49
00:02:49,800 --> 00:02:54,120
starts to ring because it rings
so rarely like my phone is on

50
00:02:54,120 --> 00:02:57,640
noise for like so rarely that
when it makes the ringing noise,

51
00:02:57,640 --> 00:03:00,000
I don't recognize it right away.
I don't either.

52
00:03:00,440 --> 00:03:04,720
I, I mean, I'm of the age and
I'm you might be too, where I

53
00:03:04,720 --> 00:03:08,400
had specialized ringtones for
specific friends so I know what

54
00:03:08,520 --> 00:03:11,200
I.
Do a little bit miss that.

55
00:03:11,280 --> 00:03:16,040
Yeah, I I do miss that.
Which is it's funny so like

56
00:03:16,320 --> 00:03:20,320
because of the way settings keep
transferring over phone to phone

57
00:03:20,320 --> 00:03:23,040
to phone, you know whenever I
get a new phone I just say I

58
00:03:23,200 --> 00:03:25,760
transfer all my shit.
So it transfers those ringtones

59
00:03:25,760 --> 00:03:30,840
over, but since it's on silent
or just vibrate I never hear

60
00:03:30,840 --> 00:03:36,920
them except when I have my
headphones in and 1 friend calls

61
00:03:36,920 --> 00:03:39,480
via WhatsApp.
Yes, yes, yes.

62
00:03:39,480 --> 00:03:42,600
The specialized ringtone still
goes off in my headphones.

63
00:03:42,880 --> 00:03:44,360
What is it?
Ke$ha.

64
00:03:44,840 --> 00:03:49,600
Incredible, amazing.
I don't I think in order that

65
00:03:49,600 --> 00:03:52,440
that's the problem, though, is
that so many songs that we have

66
00:03:52,440 --> 00:03:55,560
and have had with our like our
personal attendants and friends,

67
00:03:55,960 --> 00:03:58,840
you have to have it something
that's like loud enough that

68
00:03:58,840 --> 00:03:59,720
you.
Recognize.

69
00:03:59,720 --> 00:04:02,800
It as a ringtone.
It's, it's the one that's like,

70
00:04:02,800 --> 00:04:04,200
we're dancing, like we're
dumbed.

71
00:04:04,280 --> 00:04:06,360
That one.
Oh my God, So that's what goes

72
00:04:06,360 --> 00:04:07,080
off.
Incredible.

73
00:04:07,080 --> 00:04:10,120
I love that.
Well, 'cause I think for you it

74
00:04:10,120 --> 00:04:12,680
would, it would probably have to
be Taylor Swift's We were never

75
00:04:12,680 --> 00:04:16,040
ever getting back together.
But I like, I start going to the

76
00:04:16,040 --> 00:04:18,000
beginning of that song and I'm
like, that's not loud enough.

77
00:04:18,000 --> 00:04:19,440
It would have to be something in
the middle.

78
00:04:19,959 --> 00:04:23,440
Yes, yeah.
So or I knew You Were Trouble.

79
00:04:24,040 --> 00:04:27,200
Oh yeah, for sure.
I know what I'm like.

80
00:04:27,320 --> 00:04:30,440
Yeah, it's all right.
I understand, but.

81
00:04:30,800 --> 00:04:32,960
At some point, we'll go through
the Teen Wolf cast and pick

82
00:04:32,960 --> 00:04:34,480
Taylor Swift songs for their
ringtones.

83
00:04:35,120 --> 00:04:39,600
Oh my God.
Alert.

84
00:04:40,200 --> 00:04:43,640
Well, unfortunately Styles
doesn't have a custom Taylor

85
00:04:43,640 --> 00:04:45,240
Swift ringtone for Scotts phone
but.

86
00:04:45,640 --> 00:04:47,360
He does not.
I don't think it rings.

87
00:04:47,720 --> 00:04:51,560
I think Scott, just like Spidey,
senses his way awake, probably.

88
00:04:51,720 --> 00:04:55,120
I love this, love this for him.
So Scott, like the world's best

89
00:04:55,120 --> 00:04:59,240
buddy, picks up the phone and
Styles is terrified.

90
00:05:00,160 --> 00:05:04,880
And he is stuck on something.
He can't get out.

91
00:05:04,880 --> 00:05:06,880
Something smells really
strongly.

92
00:05:06,880 --> 00:05:10,400
His eyes are watering, he is
lost and scared.

93
00:05:10,800 --> 00:05:13,960
Yep.
And Scott, Scott immediately

94
00:05:13,960 --> 00:05:21,040
goes into like best friend
savior alpha mode and is trying

95
00:05:21,120 --> 00:05:24,120
to get, you know, as much
information so he can go save

96
00:05:24,120 --> 00:05:26,720
his best friend, which is the
only plot we need in this

97
00:05:26,720 --> 00:05:30,480
episode.
Yeah, this this episode is find

98
00:05:30,480 --> 00:05:32,840
Styles.
Yeah, that's all the I mean,

99
00:05:32,840 --> 00:05:36,880
there it's a couple things.
But like the the the rest of the

100
00:05:36,880 --> 00:05:39,520
episode is find Styles for
everybody.

101
00:05:39,720 --> 00:05:43,360
Yeah.
And so we'll continue on this

102
00:05:43,360 --> 00:05:47,480
journey of damn, Dylan O'Brien
is a really good actor in this

103
00:05:48,040 --> 00:05:50,880
season, but Tyler Posey is
trying his best.

104
00:05:50,880 --> 00:05:53,200
He's holding his own here.
Because his.

105
00:05:53,720 --> 00:05:56,520
Own act, which is apparently not
very easy.

106
00:05:56,520 --> 00:06:00,800
He is acting alone probably,
which is not very easy and he is

107
00:06:00,800 --> 00:06:03,080
trying really, really hard and I
really appreciate that.

108
00:06:03,520 --> 00:06:06,120
So I can't remember.
I buy Scott, I buy Styles.

109
00:06:06,640 --> 00:06:08,680
Yes.
I can't remember like what show

110
00:06:08,680 --> 00:06:12,760
or whatever it was, but there
was someone somewhere talking

111
00:06:12,760 --> 00:06:16,560
about how they actually had the
other person talking through the

112
00:06:16,560 --> 00:06:19,240
phone so that it made it easier.
I don't think it was Teen Wolf.

113
00:06:19,240 --> 00:06:21,880
I think it was some other movie
or show or somewhere.

114
00:06:21,880 --> 00:06:26,320
But because it's so hard to
like, act to the phone and get

115
00:06:26,320 --> 00:06:28,480
the timing of a conversation
right.

116
00:06:28,640 --> 00:06:32,800
Yeah, it just made more sense in
that instance to have someone

117
00:06:32,800 --> 00:06:37,760
feeding lines so that you could,
you could get the cadence of a

118
00:06:37,760 --> 00:06:41,240
conversation with your your
scene partner down right, 'cause

119
00:06:41,240 --> 00:06:42,480
otherwise you're just sitting
there, you're like.

120
00:06:44,040 --> 00:06:45,640
Styler seems awful.
Where are you?

121
00:06:46,040 --> 00:06:47,720
Where?
Which again, is like all the

122
00:06:47,720 --> 00:06:51,240
Marvel green screen shit, like,
well, no wonder the acting is so

123
00:06:51,240 --> 00:06:53,280
bad.
Like they're just stuttering in

124
00:06:53,280 --> 00:06:55,640
front of a green screen.
Yeah, they're just like, like

125
00:06:55,640 --> 00:06:59,720
floating on, on cable, testable,
trying their best.

126
00:06:59,720 --> 00:07:03,040
Yeah, No, actors are actors are
best together.

127
00:07:04,160 --> 00:07:07,880
But Dylan here is so good and
Tyler is so good and it's

128
00:07:07,880 --> 00:07:10,000
incredible.
And the whole time in this

129
00:07:10,000 --> 00:07:12,800
scene, my little brain is just
chanting chaos, chaos, chaos,

130
00:07:12,800 --> 00:07:15,760
chaos.
Yeah, and also uh oh.

131
00:07:16,720 --> 00:07:21,480
Repro.
Having a slightly better time,

132
00:07:21,800 --> 00:07:27,120
maybe more confusing though is
Lydia and Aiden because Lydia's

133
00:07:27,120 --> 00:07:31,320
having like a drama one of your
French girls for Aiden at the

134
00:07:31,320 --> 00:07:32,480
school in the middle of the
night.

135
00:07:32,760 --> 00:07:35,560
And I do really appreciate that
at least they call it out.

136
00:07:35,640 --> 00:07:37,560
Are we even allowed to be here
this late?

137
00:07:37,800 --> 00:07:40,200
Yeah, like, well, there's so
many murders, they can't keep a

138
00:07:40,200 --> 00:07:43,480
security guard hired.
Oh my God, they watch their own

139
00:07:43,480 --> 00:07:46,840
TV show.
Congratulations, Teen Wolf.

140
00:07:47,160 --> 00:07:49,640
And and I guess also they just
now have a key to the door.

141
00:07:49,880 --> 00:07:52,040
Yeah.
It's just, you know, what, if

142
00:07:52,040 --> 00:07:55,480
Lydia Martin were to go to the,
go to the new, old, new

143
00:07:55,480 --> 00:07:57,680
principal to be like, hi, I'd
like a key, please.

144
00:07:57,680 --> 00:07:59,800
They'd be like, yeah, of course.
Here you go.

145
00:07:59,840 --> 00:08:02,920
Sure, it's fine, but.
Yeah, it's nice to know that

146
00:08:02,920 --> 00:08:05,840
Aiden is still unbelievably
horny for our girl Lydia.

147
00:08:06,240 --> 00:08:08,320
This is the the definition of
down bad.

148
00:08:08,480 --> 00:08:12,720
He is down so bad.
Yeah, he thinks they're going to

149
00:08:12,720 --> 00:08:15,040
do sexy stuff.
She's just there to draw him.

150
00:08:15,720 --> 00:08:20,840
And then, through the radio, she
starts hearing things.

151
00:08:21,240 --> 00:08:24,320
A little static and a little
styles whispering come find.

152
00:08:24,320 --> 00:08:28,920
Me and a little Styles and this
whole episode I just, I'm I am

153
00:08:28,920 --> 00:08:33,240
playing with the Barbies and
smashing them together like.

154
00:08:33,520 --> 00:08:36,200
Yep, also with the writers.
Why can?

155
00:08:36,200 --> 00:08:39,880
Why can Lydia hear Styles like
very specifically?

156
00:08:39,880 --> 00:08:41,919
Or is it the?
Is it the?

157
00:08:42,159 --> 00:08:45,160
Other one.
The other one and like, how does

158
00:08:45,160 --> 00:08:48,720
he kind of get like, Oh my God,
I have so many questions.

159
00:08:49,360 --> 00:08:51,880
Yeah, I mean, actually there's a
lot of questions for everybody

160
00:08:51,880 --> 00:08:54,960
of like, who's talking when.
Yeah, and it gets a little more

161
00:08:54,960 --> 00:08:59,320
clear in this episode, but we
really need to be able to see

162
00:08:59,320 --> 00:09:03,080
Dylan O'Brien's face, because
the thing about is that he can

163
00:09:03,080 --> 00:09:06,760
do it.
You can tell who's speaking most

164
00:09:06,760 --> 00:09:09,560
of the time when you can see his
face.

165
00:09:10,040 --> 00:09:13,160
But in these like voice over
whatever is, it's really hard.

166
00:09:13,560 --> 00:09:16,480
It is hard, yeah, and I think it
should be confusing.

167
00:09:16,760 --> 00:09:18,920
Yeah, 'cause it's confusing for
him, it's confusing for

168
00:09:18,920 --> 00:09:21,320
everybody, it's confusing for
everybody.

169
00:09:21,760 --> 00:09:26,440
Yeah, especially when the cold
open ends with Scott being like,

170
00:09:26,440 --> 00:09:29,160
why are you whispering?
And Styles is like because I

171
00:09:29,200 --> 00:09:30,720
think there's someone in here
with me.

172
00:09:31,040 --> 00:09:32,840
Dun Dun.
Oh shit.

173
00:09:33,320 --> 00:09:35,760
Literally I have a note in here.
Just tell him you love him.

174
00:09:35,760 --> 00:09:39,880
Christ alive.
I think like Scott is trying.

175
00:09:39,880 --> 00:09:43,720
He's on the phone with styles
and just the intense emotion and

176
00:09:43,720 --> 00:09:48,120
vulnerability is so it's so
reminiscent of like Prince Eric

177
00:09:48,120 --> 00:09:50,320
at the end of Little Mermaid.
I lost her once.

178
00:09:50,320 --> 00:09:54,800
I'm not going to lose her again
and I'm and I'm just like Scott.

179
00:09:55,080 --> 00:09:57,920
Tell him you you love him and
you're not leaving him behind.

180
00:09:58,240 --> 00:10:00,600
Someone really should just tell
Styles they love him.

181
00:10:00,960 --> 00:10:04,160
Literally.
Scott, Lydia, anybody?

182
00:10:04,360 --> 00:10:08,480
Anybody friendly?
It doesn't even matter, just

183
00:10:08,480 --> 00:10:11,880
somebody.
Dude, the the the behaviors that

184
00:10:11,880 --> 00:10:14,280
occur in this episode.
I know man, the.

185
00:10:14,680 --> 00:10:18,480
Like at this point I know I have
my like my conspiracy pony

186
00:10:18,480 --> 00:10:20,960
riding hat on.
I know I I know I do.

187
00:10:21,080 --> 00:10:22,080
But.
And yet.

188
00:10:22,400 --> 00:10:28,240
So many people in this episode
make physical choices that the

189
00:10:28,240 --> 00:10:33,280
editor then puts in the episode
I I have to ask.

190
00:10:34,240 --> 00:10:36,400
I know.
I have to ask the question.

191
00:10:37,040 --> 00:10:38,920
Who decided?
Who decided?

192
00:10:38,920 --> 00:10:41,040
But yeah, no, turns out Styles
is in some kind of a basement,

193
00:10:41,040 --> 00:10:43,000
and he thinks that there's
someone in the in there with

194
00:10:43,000 --> 00:10:45,840
him, and it's very, very bad.
Yeah, it is bad.

195
00:10:46,200 --> 00:10:49,800
It is bad.
We also have Kira at home

196
00:10:49,800 --> 00:10:55,600
studying, but her her lamp won't
turn on and she reaches for the

197
00:10:55,600 --> 00:10:59,760
light bulb which she thinks is
burnt out, except it glows under

198
00:10:59,760 --> 00:11:04,200
her touch until it explodes.
Now again I have questions.

199
00:11:04,240 --> 00:11:08,480
The camera like zooms very
politely like up her body.

200
00:11:08,760 --> 00:11:10,120
Yeah, I was like, hold on
camera.

201
00:11:10,400 --> 00:11:13,480
So it's good to know that Kira
is both adorable with her like

202
00:11:13,480 --> 00:11:19,080
little rainbow knee high socks
and her little whatever and hot.

203
00:11:19,720 --> 00:11:21,640
Yeah, that too.
Just with the like the whole

204
00:11:21,640 --> 00:11:24,920
silhouette, like wow.
So Kira accidentally explodes

205
00:11:24,920 --> 00:11:28,840
the light bulb and calls out
loud to her mother, who then

206
00:11:28,880 --> 00:11:31,960
comes in with a new light bulb,
who then proceeds to tell us

207
00:11:31,960 --> 00:11:36,440
that it's after midnight.
First of all, Kira, why are you

208
00:11:36,440 --> 00:11:39,400
still awake at midnight?
Second of all, Noshko, why are

209
00:11:39,400 --> 00:11:43,000
you like, awake and responding
at midnight?

210
00:11:43,320 --> 00:11:49,480
No jammies outside clothes like.
She's got shit to do, man.

211
00:11:49,480 --> 00:11:52,360
Have shit to do and we'll talk
about that later, but like, this

212
00:11:52,360 --> 00:11:55,440
house should not be awake like
this at midnight, yeah.

213
00:11:55,800 --> 00:11:56,440
What is?
What is?

214
00:11:56,680 --> 00:12:00,840
Going on hey, you know, foxes
are awake at I don't know what

215
00:12:00,840 --> 00:12:04,920
fox is like.
No, but Noshiko comes in and

216
00:12:04,920 --> 00:12:08,080
replaces the light bulb, and she
and Kira share some very like

217
00:12:08,880 --> 00:12:11,480
Noshiko is suspicious, why is
the light bulb exploding?

218
00:12:11,480 --> 00:12:13,800
Kira is like, why is my mom
being weird?

219
00:12:13,800 --> 00:12:16,960
And they're just yeah.
Got a lot to learn about each

220
00:12:16,960 --> 00:12:18,480
other.
Yeah, they have a lot to learn.

221
00:12:19,840 --> 00:12:23,200
Also trying to do some learning
because we like segways that

222
00:12:23,200 --> 00:12:26,280
make no sense.
Scott, Isaac, Lydia and Aiden

223
00:12:26,280 --> 00:12:30,200
have gone to Styles bedroom.
We have to assume the sheriff is

224
00:12:30,200 --> 00:12:34,440
at work because he doesn't yet
know Styles is missing.

225
00:12:34,760 --> 00:12:38,800
Who has a key to that house?
I'm assuming everybody but

226
00:12:39,000 --> 00:12:41,240
Scott.
I'm assuming it's Scott, but

227
00:12:41,240 --> 00:12:43,520
literally at this point I think
Derek probably has a key.

228
00:12:43,520 --> 00:12:44,960
I think Lydia probably has a
key.

229
00:12:45,640 --> 00:12:47,240
You.
Yeah, well, Scott just goes in

230
00:12:47,240 --> 00:12:48,840
the window.
Derek goes in the window.

231
00:12:48,840 --> 00:12:50,080
It's.
True, and so does Derek.

232
00:12:50,080 --> 00:12:51,720
Lydia, though, cannot do that.
So.

233
00:12:52,640 --> 00:12:56,400
No.
So I they must have had a key.

234
00:12:56,400 --> 00:12:59,400
I feel like once you bring the
parents in it's a little less

235
00:12:59,400 --> 00:13:03,440
weird to give out new keys,
especially to like the

236
00:13:03,440 --> 00:13:06,440
responsible ones.
Like it would not surprise me if

237
00:13:06,640 --> 00:13:10,440
Derek has keys to like Scott and
Styles and Allison's house.

238
00:13:10,760 --> 00:13:13,640
Yes, I would think so that.
Wouldn't surprise me.

239
00:13:14,160 --> 00:13:16,440
We have the alpha has to have
keys to his pax house.

240
00:13:16,760 --> 00:13:18,200
And so does Scott.
Yeah.

241
00:13:18,760 --> 00:13:23,200
Like I that that that concept
doesn't surprise me.

242
00:13:23,280 --> 00:13:27,640
No, that's not the issue here.
The issue is that the the very

243
00:13:27,640 --> 00:13:34,280
creepy threads of red yarn going
from Styles murder board tied to

244
00:13:34,280 --> 00:13:38,400
a pair of scissors impaled in
Styles as mattress.

245
00:13:38,720 --> 00:13:41,680
That's very specific and very
scary.

246
00:13:42,080 --> 00:13:46,480
I don't love it.
I don't like it and Lydia is so

247
00:13:46,480 --> 00:13:49,440
worried about Styles.
Tell him you love him, it's

248
00:13:49,440 --> 00:13:51,920
fine.
Yeah, somebody say maybe we

249
00:13:51,920 --> 00:13:56,000
could end this whole thing right
now if someone would just say

250
00:13:56,000 --> 00:13:58,440
it.
Also, it's a really big pair of

251
00:13:58,440 --> 00:13:59,880
scissors.
It is indeed.

252
00:13:59,880 --> 00:14:01,880
It's like a they look like
fabric scissors.

253
00:14:02,000 --> 00:14:04,840
They look like fabric scissors.
Yeah, the big industrial ones.

254
00:14:05,200 --> 00:14:07,200
Yeah, so I was like, who like
those?

255
00:14:07,200 --> 00:14:09,360
His mom's or something like why
do they have these?

256
00:14:09,680 --> 00:14:13,680
But yeah, so they they talk
about the red string being used

257
00:14:13,680 --> 00:14:17,280
for the unsolved cases and they
have this back and forth of

258
00:14:17,280 --> 00:14:19,040
maybe he thinks he's part of an
unsolved case.

259
00:14:19,040 --> 00:14:23,480
And then Isaac is like or he is
an unsolved case like Isaac.

260
00:14:23,480 --> 00:14:25,960
Shut the fuck up, man.
Well, frankly, they're correct

261
00:14:25,960 --> 00:14:26,840
on both counts.
So.

262
00:14:28,440 --> 00:14:30,960
They are correct.
Yeah.

263
00:14:31,560 --> 00:14:36,760
So they're gonna, they're gonna
go find them by cent, right?

264
00:14:37,120 --> 00:14:40,560
Yeah.
And then so Isaac and Scott

265
00:14:40,560 --> 00:14:42,840
leave to go find him by scent,
'cause they came to the house to

266
00:14:42,840 --> 00:14:44,880
get a more like a more specific
scent.

267
00:14:45,200 --> 00:14:48,040
And so then they're gonna go to
the sheriff station.

268
00:14:48,040 --> 00:14:51,200
Because while Scott promised
Styles that he wouldn't bring in

269
00:14:51,200 --> 00:14:53,680
the sheriff, Lydia has made no
such promise.

270
00:14:53,680 --> 00:14:55,400
And Scott's like, it's not that
far from here.

271
00:14:55,400 --> 00:14:57,920
We'll just go.
I do appreciate that they listen

272
00:14:57,920 --> 00:15:00,960
to Lydia being like, hey, not
this time.

273
00:15:01,240 --> 00:15:04,280
Yeah, like he's missing.
This is fucked up.

274
00:15:04,640 --> 00:15:08,640
The sheriff knows.
Let's not play this hide.

275
00:15:08,920 --> 00:15:11,440
Hide the game from from the
sheriff.

276
00:15:11,720 --> 00:15:15,960
I just, I'm, I'm so grateful
that they finally made this turn

277
00:15:15,960 --> 00:15:20,360
and it feels really funny, like
just watching it, watching it

278
00:15:20,360 --> 00:15:23,560
just for like from here, you
don't feel the difference.

279
00:15:23,560 --> 00:15:27,040
But I'm going back and listening
to our old podcasts and I was

280
00:15:27,040 --> 00:15:29,760
like listening to Season 2.
And.

281
00:15:29,840 --> 00:15:35,520
Just how alone Lydia was, how
isolated she was, how not read

282
00:15:35,520 --> 00:15:39,600
in she was, how, how kept
separate from all of this she

283
00:15:39,600 --> 00:15:42,400
was.
And now, not that long later,

284
00:15:43,760 --> 00:15:46,800
she is integral.
Scott trusts her.

285
00:15:46,800 --> 00:15:51,920
She is a good voice in the pack.
She is brought into things.

286
00:15:51,920 --> 00:15:54,840
They trust her.
I just, I love, I love this for

287
00:15:54,840 --> 00:15:56,800
her.
Yeah, I really.

288
00:15:56,880 --> 00:15:59,960
This is this is everything I
hoped for Lydia in Season 2,

289
00:15:59,960 --> 00:16:02,000
when she was just so isolated
and alone.

290
00:16:03,400 --> 00:16:06,160
Yep, agreed.
And that they, like, listen to

291
00:16:06,160 --> 00:16:11,120
her, which, you know, is about
to be one of the issues in this

292
00:16:11,120 --> 00:16:15,080
episode.
But they she's folded into the

293
00:16:15,080 --> 00:16:16,360
pack.
Yeah, for sure.

294
00:16:16,800 --> 00:16:22,000
So but Aiden has noticed that
Styles Jeep is gone and you know

295
00:16:22,280 --> 00:16:25,200
this reminder that Lydia gets
these feelings when someone is

296
00:16:25,200 --> 00:16:27,840
going to die.
Right.

297
00:16:27,920 --> 00:16:34,400
Like she's, she is nervous,
she's pacing, something's not

298
00:16:34,400 --> 00:16:37,120
right.
And she has this like feeling

299
00:16:37,120 --> 00:16:41,560
that there's something in the in
styles bedroom that they need to

300
00:16:41,560 --> 00:16:46,800
find to help find him, which is
why they break off into go to

301
00:16:46,800 --> 00:16:48,400
the Sheriff's Office to stay in
the bedroom.

302
00:16:48,760 --> 00:16:51,800
So she's, she's got a, she's got
a feeling.

303
00:16:52,040 --> 00:16:58,120
Yeah, and Aiden is so in, in
again, a very stark turn from

304
00:16:58,120 --> 00:17:00,320
last season.
Aiden is so supportive of Lydia,

305
00:17:00,760 --> 00:17:03,480
yeah.
Doesn't call her crazy, doesn't

306
00:17:03,480 --> 00:17:06,240
think she's making it up.
She cuz she constantly keeps

307
00:17:06,240 --> 00:17:07,800
going like, did you hear that?
Did you hear that?

308
00:17:07,800 --> 00:17:09,960
And go and he goes, no, I don't
think anybody's hearing what

309
00:17:09,960 --> 00:17:12,599
you're hearing.
But not in like a, oh, it's cuz

310
00:17:12,599 --> 00:17:14,040
you're fucking crazy.
It's like, no, cuz you're

311
00:17:14,040 --> 00:17:15,880
special and you can hear things
that none of the rest of us can

312
00:17:15,880 --> 00:17:20,359
hear.
And she just like Aiden is being

313
00:17:20,440 --> 00:17:24,000
super supportive, as supportive
as I think he can be of her.

314
00:17:25,000 --> 00:17:27,480
And I just, I love, I love that.
I do too.

315
00:17:27,520 --> 00:17:35,400
I mean, it's nice to not say not
just I don't hear it, but no one

316
00:17:35,440 --> 00:17:39,440
it it it's you know, no one
hears what you hear is diff.

317
00:17:39,440 --> 00:17:42,080
It's a it's different than I
don't hear.

318
00:17:42,080 --> 00:17:45,160
It right?
In a very specific way for

319
00:17:45,240 --> 00:17:47,400
Lydia, because it's not totally
dismissive.

320
00:17:47,400 --> 00:17:49,880
It's not trying to say like, OK,
well, you might rewrite.

321
00:17:49,880 --> 00:17:52,640
I just don't hear it.
It's like Lydia, you're, you're

322
00:17:52,680 --> 00:17:54,960
special.
Like if you hear something, we

323
00:17:54,960 --> 00:17:57,480
believe you because that is your
thing.

324
00:17:57,720 --> 00:17:59,760
Yep.
So we have to go back to poor

325
00:17:59,760 --> 00:18:01,080
Stiles.
Who?

326
00:18:01,520 --> 00:18:03,560
I think just a really bad night,
frankly.

327
00:18:03,760 --> 00:18:08,840
We do finally see and not just
hear over the phone and he is in

328
00:18:09,160 --> 00:18:13,240
a very blue room.
Who was back babysitting.

329
00:18:13,240 --> 00:18:16,720
You know it's bad.
Scott was in like a dark poorly

330
00:18:16,720 --> 00:18:18,760
lit blue room at the beginning
of the episode.

331
00:18:18,760 --> 00:18:21,240
Styles isn't a very darkly lit
blue room.

332
00:18:22,120 --> 00:18:24,360
You know it's bad, baby.
I can't see.

333
00:18:24,360 --> 00:18:25,840
They can't see.
No one can.

334
00:18:25,840 --> 00:18:28,080
See, I know I had such a hard
time with these scenes.

335
00:18:28,080 --> 00:18:30,920
I was like what is going?
On I'm sure that there are

336
00:18:30,920 --> 00:18:32,360
actors doing a nice job in
there.

337
00:18:32,360 --> 00:18:34,840
I'm sure if you cranked up like
whatever they did in post that

338
00:18:34,840 --> 00:18:37,320
you'd be able to see their
fabulous face acting, but I

339
00:18:37,320 --> 00:18:38,640
can't see shit.
Captain the.

340
00:18:38,680 --> 00:18:41,560
Reflection of one of my windows
was right in the center.

341
00:18:41,560 --> 00:18:44,040
I was like God damn it, I was
trying to like move around to

342
00:18:44,040 --> 00:18:47,000
see so his his leg is in a steel
trap.

343
00:18:47,320 --> 00:18:51,360
Very reminiscent of Papa Tate
who was putting out air traps in

344
00:18:51,360 --> 00:18:54,680
the woods.
Sure is looks looks real

345
00:18:54,680 --> 00:18:55,960
painful.
Ouch.

346
00:18:56,600 --> 00:19:01,240
And there's like, movement in
the room.

347
00:19:01,240 --> 00:19:06,680
Some like whispery, shadowy.
Something happened in the

348
00:19:06,680 --> 00:19:08,960
background.
But Styles can't see much using

349
00:19:08,960 --> 00:19:11,560
his camera flashlight.
And frankly, neither can we.

350
00:19:12,280 --> 00:19:17,840
But there is a figure lurking in
a leather jacket.

351
00:19:18,200 --> 00:19:21,480
With some weird cargo pants and
bandage pants.

352
00:19:21,800 --> 00:19:25,520
It's got like heavily like 19.
When did the first movie come

353
00:19:25,520 --> 00:19:27,640
out?
It was like 1930's The Mummy.

354
00:19:27,840 --> 00:19:31,960
Yes.
Bandages who he like a piece of

355
00:19:31,960 --> 00:19:37,520
chalk drops and he's drawn the
the kanji for self that like

356
00:19:38,080 --> 00:19:42,440
it's not a backwards 5 but kind
of looks like one on the wall

357
00:19:42,440 --> 00:19:45,760
which like hooshes into to
smoke.

358
00:19:46,120 --> 00:19:49,920
And style seems to like look at
it and know what it means 'cause

359
00:19:49,920 --> 00:19:53,160
he like says self.
And my big question, I would

360
00:19:53,200 --> 00:19:57,240
wish I could have seen through
the blue which who is looking?

361
00:19:57,360 --> 00:20:00,880
Who is looking at that?
Who knows what it means?

362
00:20:01,880 --> 00:20:03,360
I have questions.
Who?

363
00:20:03,600 --> 00:20:05,440
Who diss which?
Which one is you?

364
00:20:05,680 --> 00:20:07,960
Speaking of somebody else having
a really bad night.

365
00:20:08,360 --> 00:20:11,160
Yes, we everyone's having a bad.
Night we finally make it to the

366
00:20:11,160 --> 00:20:13,040
sheriff station where Sheriff
still how about.

367
00:20:13,080 --> 00:20:15,400
Acting.
Looks like he's about to have a

368
00:20:15,400 --> 00:20:17,280
panic attack.
Yeah, he does.

369
00:20:17,480 --> 00:20:20,880
Or like break something?
They focus a lot on his, like,

370
00:20:20,880 --> 00:20:23,960
hands and, like, the tension in
his fingers and like, the

371
00:20:23,960 --> 00:20:27,440
slowness of his breath.
And I was like, oh, somebody's

372
00:20:27,440 --> 00:20:29,000
working on their breathing
exercises.

373
00:20:29,000 --> 00:20:31,160
Hi Papa, How you doing?
Yep.

374
00:20:31,560 --> 00:20:33,800
Yeah, he's a he's a great actor
as well.

375
00:20:33,880 --> 00:20:37,360
Oh my God, he's so good.
However, we have a new character

376
00:20:37,360 --> 00:20:38,800
alert.
I wrote that down.

377
00:20:38,800 --> 00:20:40,680
I said literally new character
alert.

378
00:20:41,400 --> 00:20:42,960
Oh my God.
Hi, Parrish.

379
00:20:42,960 --> 00:20:46,400
It's nice to see you.
What's up, Deputy Jordan

380
00:20:46,400 --> 00:20:49,680
Parrish?
Deputy Jordan Parrish, hi.

381
00:20:50,520 --> 00:20:53,520
What's up buddy?
You know, he doesn't do much in

382
00:20:53,520 --> 00:20:56,360
this episode, but I wonder if
we'll see him again because he

383
00:20:56,360 --> 00:20:58,600
has a name.
I wonder.

384
00:20:58,920 --> 00:21:02,680
So Scott's like, hey, Lydia new
styles was missing.

385
00:21:02,680 --> 00:21:05,400
So that's that's bad.
And even the sheriff is like can

386
00:21:05,400 --> 00:21:10,560
you find him by Sen which not
yet and perished interrupts to

387
00:21:10,560 --> 00:21:15,360
be like we found the Jeep.
I did like this is I think is

388
00:21:15,360 --> 00:21:17,880
this the first time in the in
the series that they

389
00:21:17,880 --> 00:21:20,640
specifically lay out the
schematics of the Jeep?

390
00:21:20,760 --> 00:21:23,120
I think it used.
In in Canon or fannin.

391
00:21:23,240 --> 00:21:26,440
Yeah, I think so.
Yeah, it's like a 1980 blah blah

392
00:21:26,440 --> 00:21:30,560
blah blue, like CJ for that.
Yeah, CJ5.

393
00:21:30,880 --> 00:21:32,680
Yeah.
Thank you for that detail that

394
00:21:32,680 --> 00:21:35,000
everyone will now put in fic
correct?

395
00:21:35,440 --> 00:21:37,920
That way we all know the make
and model so we can add it into

396
00:21:37,920 --> 00:21:39,880
our little mechanic mechanic
fic.

397
00:21:40,120 --> 00:21:41,920
Mechanic AU that turned to
Canon.

398
00:21:42,440 --> 00:21:45,800
Yes, but I had like a little
thing was like they found the

399
00:21:45,800 --> 00:21:49,720
Jeep at dot dot dot Beacon
Hill's worst hospital.

400
00:21:50,080 --> 00:21:53,800
The cursed location.
The worst place that anything

401
00:21:53,800 --> 00:21:55,560
could happen at the Jeep is
there.

402
00:21:55,960 --> 00:21:59,800
The battery is dead, probably
because he left the lights on.

403
00:22:00,080 --> 00:22:04,720
So Scott says that he is called
Derek and Allison to kind of

404
00:22:04,720 --> 00:22:07,960
call in the team, and the
sheriff immediately finds Mama

405
00:22:07,960 --> 00:22:12,320
McCall, who is happy to have to
just break them into like the

406
00:22:12,320 --> 00:22:14,520
basement or the roof or wherever
it is they need to go.

407
00:22:14,560 --> 00:22:16,880
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
She's just like, and they're,

408
00:22:17,160 --> 00:22:19,160
you know, surgeries are probably
happening, although it's the

409
00:22:19,160 --> 00:22:20,360
middle of the night, so probably
not.

410
00:22:20,360 --> 00:22:22,760
But like it's they're, they have
an ER so there could be

411
00:22:22,760 --> 00:22:25,760
emergency surgeries happening.
You know, there are patients,

412
00:22:26,200 --> 00:22:29,400
there's stuff to, but no,
they're just like, yes, cops

413
00:22:29,800 --> 00:22:31,720
tour the building at will.
It's fine.

414
00:22:32,480 --> 00:22:37,640
Also touring the building at
will is 1 Mr. Derek Hale, who is

415
00:22:37,760 --> 00:22:41,720
who has arrived on scene and is
just like, yeah, Stiles is not

416
00:22:41,720 --> 00:22:43,080
here, not anymore.
He knows.

417
00:22:43,120 --> 00:22:46,720
He knows he immediately.
He immediately knows.

418
00:22:46,720 --> 00:22:50,840
He immediately knows.
Do not perceive me.

419
00:22:51,000 --> 00:22:52,800
Do not talk to me.
Do not.

420
00:22:52,800 --> 00:22:56,840
Do not.
He he didn't need more than half

421
00:22:56,960 --> 00:22:58,880
a second.
He was like, Oh yeah, he's not

422
00:22:58,880 --> 00:22:59,760
here.
We can leave.

423
00:22:59,760 --> 00:23:02,800
Like you don't need to look any
further.

424
00:23:03,120 --> 00:23:04,600
I know.
And.

425
00:23:04,600 --> 00:23:08,160
And not just that he's not here.
He's not here anymore.

426
00:23:08,160 --> 00:23:09,520
Yeah.
That he was here.

427
00:23:09,560 --> 00:23:11,720
He was.
And Scott's, like, you mean the

428
00:23:11,720 --> 00:23:14,760
whole building gone?
Yeah, he's gone.

429
00:23:14,920 --> 00:23:18,040
He's gone.
So they're up on the roof, the

430
00:23:18,040 --> 00:23:20,360
roof that apparently all
important things happen on now.

431
00:23:20,600 --> 00:23:24,320
And Derek's like, hey buddy, you
notice how strong the scent is

432
00:23:24,320 --> 00:23:28,880
up here, which is insane because
like, the wind doesn't blow it

433
00:23:28,880 --> 00:23:31,680
away in the time between when
Stiles was there and when he

434
00:23:31,680 --> 00:23:33,240
wasn't.
Not for Derek.

435
00:23:33,320 --> 00:23:35,840
Not for Derek.
It's like, what, in the bricks

436
00:23:35,920 --> 00:23:38,280
in the concrete?
What are we talking about?

437
00:23:38,760 --> 00:23:41,720
What?
I mean, I'm sure, I'm sure that

438
00:23:41,720 --> 00:23:45,480
didn't occur to the writers to
be like, oh, if the scent is

439
00:23:45,480 --> 00:23:48,360
strong up here because as we'll
find out later, like some shit

440
00:23:48,360 --> 00:23:51,800
was happening.
But for the rest of us crazy

441
00:23:51,800 --> 00:23:55,800
people, the rest of us who think
about this more than 15 seconds,

442
00:23:55,800 --> 00:24:00,200
you're like, did it bleed into
the pores?

443
00:24:00,200 --> 00:24:04,440
And Derek, just like he just
knows it's in like every fabric.

444
00:24:04,440 --> 00:24:06,920
Was like, was his sweat just
like dripping and just like on

445
00:24:06,920 --> 00:24:10,280
the ground like what he's.
Just picking up little droplets

446
00:24:10,280 --> 00:24:13,560
of it in every everywhere.
Just skins.

447
00:24:13,560 --> 00:24:16,160
He's just like picking up the
little skin cells that fall off

448
00:24:16,160 --> 00:24:17,400
of people when they walk around.
I.

449
00:24:17,560 --> 00:24:20,160
Don't.
I don't know, but Derek being

450
00:24:20,160 --> 00:24:27,280
the one to very calmly and
thoroughly explain chemo signals

451
00:24:27,280 --> 00:24:31,320
to Scott.
Also I wrote down Canon versus

452
00:24:31,320 --> 00:24:34,400
fan in moment.
Chemo signals being a thing in

453
00:24:34,600 --> 00:24:36,600
in Canon that translate into
fannin.

454
00:24:36,720 --> 00:24:39,680
Yes, Teen Wolf werewolves can
smell your emotions.

455
00:24:39,920 --> 00:24:42,720
Yes, Teen Wolf werewolves can
smell your emotions as long as

456
00:24:42,720 --> 00:24:44,200
they know what they're looking
for.

457
00:24:44,520 --> 00:24:49,200
So Derek is just up there
getting an enormous whiff of ode

458
00:24:49,200 --> 00:24:53,520
styles and feeling the straight
up anxiety.

459
00:24:54,560 --> 00:24:57,360
Yeah, 'cause he's, he asks
Scott, like, what do you smell?

460
00:24:57,640 --> 00:25:01,920
And Scott says stress and
Derek's like anxiety, like this

461
00:25:01,920 --> 00:25:05,120
minute difference between stress
and anxiety.

462
00:25:05,200 --> 00:25:08,880
This.
Very small specific difference.

463
00:25:08,880 --> 00:25:12,160
I I am unwell.
Yeah, I am unwell.

464
00:25:12,760 --> 00:25:15,080
There was some kind of and he's
like, there was a struggle up

465
00:25:15,080 --> 00:25:16,520
here.
There's nothing to look at.

466
00:25:16,520 --> 00:25:18,800
There's not a misplaced bit of
nothing.

467
00:25:19,240 --> 00:25:22,600
And Scott's like with who
himself?

468
00:25:23,240 --> 00:25:27,920
What the fuck, Derek?
I just the fact that he has to

469
00:25:27,920 --> 00:25:32,520
know something in order to base
this off of Yeah, he has to know

470
00:25:32,520 --> 00:25:34,200
what style smells like
regularly.

471
00:25:34,200 --> 00:25:37,400
He has to know what smells his
anxiety smells like regularly.

472
00:25:37,400 --> 00:25:40,560
And he has to know just the
amount of things he has to know.

473
00:25:40,560 --> 00:25:43,680
I am unwell.
Yeah, yeah.

474
00:25:43,840 --> 00:25:46,560
Derek, Middle name Hale, tell
him.

475
00:25:46,680 --> 00:25:48,440
What Styles.
Hale, Derek.

476
00:25:48,440 --> 00:25:49,960
Hale.
Stolinski, Derek.

477
00:25:50,120 --> 00:25:54,440
Scott Mccall's biggest fan Hale.
And then he was explaining this

478
00:25:54,440 --> 00:25:59,120
so calmly to Scott, like, yeah,
obviously I know what style

479
00:25:59,120 --> 00:26:01,960
smells like at all points of the
day, Wondering why don't you?

480
00:26:02,280 --> 00:26:07,200
So this whole episode to me, and
this is absolutely not to knock

481
00:26:07,240 --> 00:26:11,560
the style, the stair freaking
mistake, the Scott and Derek

482
00:26:11,800 --> 00:26:14,560
people, the Scott and Derek
shippers, because there is some

483
00:26:14,560 --> 00:26:17,880
stuff in here that you can
absolutely read warm and fuzzy

484
00:26:17,880 --> 00:26:19,640
between the two of them because
they have an emotionally

485
00:26:19,640 --> 00:26:21,400
vulnerable relationship and only
from each other.

486
00:26:21,400 --> 00:26:24,080
And it's so good and beautiful.
But this, this whole episode

487
00:26:24,080 --> 00:26:29,200
gives me Scott and Derek as
brothers, Yeah, who are like,

488
00:26:29,200 --> 00:26:32,080
'cause Derek starts to, like,
literally feel out his brother's

489
00:26:32,080 --> 00:26:33,960
new girlfriend.
Yeah.

490
00:26:34,200 --> 00:26:38,280
And Derek is dealing with the
enormous crash that he has on

491
00:26:38,280 --> 00:26:40,960
his brother's best friend.
Yeah, like this.

492
00:26:40,960 --> 00:26:45,040
Whole this whole episode just
reeks of Scott and Derek being

493
00:26:45,360 --> 00:26:50,120
brothers.
Yeah, I, I got 100% like older

494
00:26:50,120 --> 00:26:55,000
brother finally giving in to
like, OK, I will take care of

495
00:26:55,000 --> 00:26:57,920
you.
I will teach you literally like

496
00:26:57,960 --> 00:26:59,240
I will.
Finally.

497
00:26:59,640 --> 00:27:03,880
I will calm down and be an older
brother.

498
00:27:04,120 --> 00:27:05,440
Finally.
Yeah.

499
00:27:05,840 --> 00:27:09,640
But with just with just like a
little click of those giant

500
00:27:09,640 --> 00:27:12,560
glasses machines at the
optometrist, just like a little

501
00:27:12,560 --> 00:27:16,320
to the left, I could absolutely
see like the sexual tension,

502
00:27:16,320 --> 00:27:19,760
like the romantic tension
between Scott and Derek.

503
00:27:20,120 --> 00:27:21,520
But my glasses are on really
tight.

504
00:27:21,520 --> 00:27:22,760
So like, we all know where
that's going.

505
00:27:23,080 --> 00:27:26,920
But the completely unhinged
things that Derek says about

506
00:27:26,920 --> 00:27:30,560
Styles and does to Kira in this
episode, I'm like, you can't

507
00:27:30,560 --> 00:27:32,760
convince me that these two
aren't now family.

508
00:27:33,200 --> 00:27:35,040
All family, all the time.
All family, all the time the

509
00:27:35,040 --> 00:27:36,520
family.
Dinners are going to be wild at

510
00:27:36,520 --> 00:27:38,400
the rebuilt Hale house.
Indeed, the pack.

511
00:27:38,480 --> 00:27:40,280
It's just the pack.
Which is obviously happening

512
00:27:40,280 --> 00:27:41,240
right?
Like out in the woods.

513
00:27:41,240 --> 00:27:42,840
Of course not.
Just rubble, Absolutely.

514
00:27:42,880 --> 00:27:46,160
That's where Boyd and Eric are.
They're rebuilding the house.

515
00:27:46,800 --> 00:27:48,920
Yeah, brick by brick.
Well, wood by wood, because

516
00:27:48,920 --> 00:27:50,000
obviously it has to be a wood
house.

517
00:27:50,000 --> 00:27:52,520
It's, you know, a wooden brick
house for stability.

518
00:27:53,000 --> 00:27:54,880
But obviously we'll talk about
it.

519
00:27:55,800 --> 00:27:59,560
We will talk about it.
So over in at the Sheriff's

520
00:27:59,560 --> 00:28:02,360
Department, Mr. Nobody Gives a
Fuck shows up.

521
00:28:03,360 --> 00:28:05,680
And I love that Parrish is an
asshole to him.

522
00:28:06,040 --> 00:28:09,520
He's an absolute asshole to him.
Thank you Parrish.

523
00:28:09,600 --> 00:28:14,360
I get why super healing had to
happen here for the plot but

524
00:28:14,360 --> 00:28:18,400
also didn't he like die six
hours ago?

525
00:28:18,560 --> 00:28:21,760
He got like stabbed in the heart
place, so yeah, a little bit.

526
00:28:21,760 --> 00:28:25,240
And he was like bleeding out.
They rushed him into surgery.

527
00:28:25,480 --> 00:28:27,080
Well, now he's just hurt in the
arm.

528
00:28:27,080 --> 00:28:29,480
Now it's just maybe he got
stabbed in the shoulder.

529
00:28:29,840 --> 00:28:31,120
Well.
I mean, I get it.

530
00:28:31,120 --> 00:28:35,520
Like OK, so your shoulder muscle
connects to your PEC like that.

531
00:28:35,520 --> 00:28:37,480
That's, I can't remember what
it's called right now, but like

532
00:28:38,080 --> 00:28:40,560
that I get why your arm would be
in a sling because if you tried

533
00:28:40,560 --> 00:28:43,240
to stretch your arm out and you
had been stabbed through that

534
00:28:43,400 --> 00:28:46,240
connective muscle from your PEC
to your shoulder like ouchies,

535
00:28:46,600 --> 00:28:49,440
OK fine.
But also why are you not still

536
00:28:49,440 --> 00:28:52,440
in the hospital like you?
You were basically dead.

537
00:28:52,520 --> 00:28:54,200
Yeah.
But does nobody?

538
00:28:55,200 --> 00:28:59,040
I mean, I could veer this off
into a rant about 911 and how

539
00:28:59,040 --> 00:29:03,160
nobody has any scars from their
traumatic experiences, but I'm

540
00:29:03,160 --> 00:29:05,000
not going to do that.
I will save that for later.

541
00:29:05,440 --> 00:29:07,720
But this is another one where I
was like, could could someone

542
00:29:07,720 --> 00:29:10,560
just experience an injury for
more than three seconds?

543
00:29:11,000 --> 00:29:12,880
Just like a little bit.
Just a little.

544
00:29:13,200 --> 00:29:15,960
Anyway, so he shows up.
He is looking for leads about

545
00:29:15,960 --> 00:29:19,040
the sword wielding maniac that
hurt him.

546
00:29:19,040 --> 00:29:23,320
He seems to have no memory that
they appeared and disappeared

547
00:29:23,320 --> 00:29:24,560
into smoke.
Poof.

548
00:29:25,000 --> 00:29:28,760
Which I guess is good for him.
The Wanted posters behind are

549
00:29:28,920 --> 00:29:30,160
hilarious.
Indeed.

550
00:29:30,520 --> 00:29:33,440
I can't believe that those are
actually like up there.

551
00:29:33,840 --> 00:29:37,640
They look like.
Unfortunately for me, I did have

552
00:29:37,640 --> 00:29:43,040
a moment in which I should have
like gone back and stopped to

553
00:29:43,040 --> 00:29:46,720
like pay more attention and I
did not, so I have to do it now.

554
00:29:47,160 --> 00:29:50,920
What they look like Zorro.
Well, they do, but like, yeah,

555
00:29:50,920 --> 00:29:53,920
so one looks like the only and
one looks like Zorro.

556
00:29:53,960 --> 00:29:58,520
OK, fantastic.
Well, 'cause in the way that

557
00:29:58,520 --> 00:30:01,640
Teen Wolf does things,
eventually we're gonna get scary

558
00:30:01,640 --> 00:30:07,520
Cowboys, but not with a sword.
So Parrish is like, yeah, we're

559
00:30:07,520 --> 00:30:09,840
looking, but like there's a
higher priority, dude.

560
00:30:10,200 --> 00:30:13,200
And Mccall's like Qua.
Excuse me, what?

561
00:30:13,560 --> 00:30:17,440
Excuse me, what?
So Aiden and Lydia are are over

562
00:30:17,600 --> 00:30:19,600
in the in styles bedroom looking
for clues.

563
00:30:19,960 --> 00:30:23,320
There's like a cute little
moment because Lydia or style

564
00:30:23,320 --> 00:30:28,320
still has the tree that Lydia
drew framed, which is sweet.

565
00:30:28,600 --> 00:30:33,760
But Aiden touches one of the red
strings as like a you know, and

566
00:30:33,760 --> 00:30:37,560
Lydia hears like whispering
voices off the reverberation of

567
00:30:37,560 --> 00:30:40,960
the string.
So Lydia's like, don't you hear

568
00:30:40,960 --> 00:30:42,960
that?
My only concern with that is

569
00:30:42,960 --> 00:30:46,040
like, she, she knows she's the
only one who hears this at this

570
00:30:46,040 --> 00:30:48,120
point.
Yeah, she keeps.

571
00:30:48,240 --> 00:30:50,360
Reaching for it, you know.
She is, yeah.

572
00:30:51,040 --> 00:30:53,040
So she does.
She does it and hears more

573
00:30:53,040 --> 00:30:55,520
whispering.
She's like something about a

574
00:30:55,520 --> 00:30:58,120
house.
And there's a photo on the wall

575
00:30:58,120 --> 00:31:04,240
of Eichenhaus, a mental Health
Center where Barrow has been

576
00:31:04,240 --> 00:31:08,480
committed.
And she's like, that's gotta be

577
00:31:08,920 --> 00:31:12,120
solution, solution.
That's where it is.

578
00:31:12,480 --> 00:31:15,920
He is where Styles is.
Which brings us back to Styles

579
00:31:15,920 --> 00:31:21,600
in his blue, his blue scene.
And our mummy, Our mummy man.

580
00:31:21,600 --> 00:31:26,040
Our Band-Aid man.
Is roaming around like speaking

581
00:31:26,040 --> 00:31:29,880
Japanese to him.
And Dylan O'Brien just doing the

582
00:31:29,920 --> 00:31:34,320
absolute most as an actor is
just outstanding.

583
00:31:34,880 --> 00:31:40,720
Standing he is incredible and
the the other figure is like not

584
00:31:40,720 --> 00:31:43,480
who are you Styles?
Who are we?

585
00:31:43,560 --> 00:31:47,720
And we finally get a chance to
like, see the bandaged man with

586
00:31:47,720 --> 00:31:50,920
his leather bomber jacket and
his cargo pants and his big

587
00:31:50,920 --> 00:31:53,720
scary metal teeth.
Yeah, and I like the metal

588
00:31:53,720 --> 00:31:57,520
teeth.
And you know, Styles is

589
00:31:57,720 --> 00:32:02,200
constantly trying to like, push
him back and Band-Aid Man is

590
00:32:02,200 --> 00:32:05,600
like, we're trying to keep you
from freezing to death, but why

591
00:32:05,600 --> 00:32:08,440
can't you leave?
And he's like pulling the

592
00:32:08,440 --> 00:32:11,800
strings of Styles, kind of
feeling himself going crazy of

593
00:32:11,800 --> 00:32:14,800
losing his mind.
You know, you're stuck here.

594
00:32:14,800 --> 00:32:18,000
But it was it on the right foot?
I thought earlier it was on the

595
00:32:18,000 --> 00:32:21,240
left and the camera pans and you
know it.

596
00:32:21,400 --> 00:32:25,480
The the the bear trap moves from
one leg to the other as as

597
00:32:25,480 --> 00:32:28,560
Band-Aid Man is like letting
styles his mind just straight up

598
00:32:28,560 --> 00:32:31,960
unravel.
Yeah, just if Styles is worried

599
00:32:31,960 --> 00:32:35,840
that he was insane before, it's
worse now.

600
00:32:36,080 --> 00:32:38,040
Getting worse, getting worse
now.

601
00:32:38,600 --> 00:32:44,080
So the the cavalry rolls up to
Iken House with Lydia and Scott

602
00:32:44,080 --> 00:32:47,560
in tow, because I guess just now
they're part of the the team.

603
00:32:47,680 --> 00:32:50,760
Hello.
The police and some teenagers

604
00:32:50,880 --> 00:32:54,240
let us know.
And Lydia, they're, they're just

605
00:32:54,240 --> 00:32:58,040
like, never you mind.
The people who work here let us

606
00:32:58,040 --> 00:33:01,480
through.
And Lydia takes them to a door,

607
00:33:01,480 --> 00:33:04,680
I guess, to the basement and a
room that that looks like it

608
00:33:04,680 --> 00:33:07,800
should be right.
It's like that, the boiler and

609
00:33:07,920 --> 00:33:11,480
the dirt and the everything
looks right, but there's no

610
00:33:11,480 --> 00:33:14,120
styles.
But like, everything about the

611
00:33:14,120 --> 00:33:15,920
room looks right.
From the very little that we

612
00:33:15,920 --> 00:33:18,560
were able to see in the blue
scenes, this looks right.

613
00:33:18,560 --> 00:33:21,360
And we're all with Lydia like
this is this is the place, this

614
00:33:21,360 --> 00:33:23,320
is it, this is it, and it's
wrong.

615
00:33:23,320 --> 00:33:26,360
And we're like, what's going on?
What is happening?

616
00:33:26,400 --> 00:33:29,800
And and so is Sheriff.
The sheriff is is like starting

617
00:33:29,800 --> 00:33:32,480
to yell and my notes are sheriff
stop yelling at your daughter.

618
00:33:32,840 --> 00:33:34,280
I know.
Stop it where is.

619
00:33:34,320 --> 00:33:38,480
He like don't yell at her.
And everyone is like everyone is

620
00:33:38,480 --> 00:33:40,760
just trying to help.
They all love styles so much my

621
00:33:40,760 --> 00:33:43,480
heart hurts.
But they leave the room and then

622
00:33:43,480 --> 00:33:47,040
all of a sudden the camera pans
to like this the the little lit

623
00:33:47,040 --> 00:33:50,800
space on the back wall.
And there's the kanji on the

624
00:33:50,800 --> 00:33:54,080
wall, like we saw in the earlier
scene, except this one has been

625
00:33:54,080 --> 00:33:58,360
scratched into the wall.
And they all missed it.

626
00:33:58,520 --> 00:34:00,480
And they all missed it.
Yep.

627
00:34:00,960 --> 00:34:04,600
So back at the Sheriff's
Department, McCall is hounding

628
00:34:04,600 --> 00:34:09,920
Parrish about the transcript of
the call between Styles and

629
00:34:09,920 --> 00:34:13,400
Scott, which I guess we just
have to assume they did a a

630
00:34:13,400 --> 00:34:16,120
proper little investigation.
Yeah.

631
00:34:16,280 --> 00:34:19,960
And specifically the line about
something smells terrible.

632
00:34:19,960 --> 00:34:23,120
My eyes are watering.
And I love Parrish is just

633
00:34:23,120 --> 00:34:25,120
basically the shruggy emoji.
Yeah.

634
00:34:26,040 --> 00:34:27,199
He's just like, I don't know,
bro.

635
00:34:27,199 --> 00:34:29,719
I wasn't there.
Is that what the paper says?

636
00:34:29,719 --> 00:34:31,000
Then?
That's what the paper says.

637
00:34:31,360 --> 00:34:33,800
But Melissa shows up, and
obviously she is there to help

638
00:34:33,800 --> 00:34:36,960
because those are her children,
and she is going to do it.

639
00:34:37,480 --> 00:34:41,880
And Detective McCall is like, I
have an idea.

640
00:34:42,159 --> 00:34:45,639
And Melissa's like, I'm coming
with you even though I hate you.

641
00:34:46,040 --> 00:34:48,199
Exactly.
And in this moment, we all say

642
00:34:48,199 --> 00:34:51,040
we hate you, but if you know
where a boy is, then like, help

643
00:34:51,040 --> 00:34:53,960
us out.
I yeah, part of me during kind

644
00:34:53,960 --> 00:34:57,240
of the the follow up scene where
they're driving is like, why,

645
00:34:57,800 --> 00:35:01,680
why does he get to be right?
Like don't, don't give this the

646
00:35:01,680 --> 00:35:05,640
detective, but they, they are
driving.

647
00:35:05,840 --> 00:35:10,120
And McCall thinks that Styles
might actually still be

648
00:35:10,560 --> 00:35:14,760
sleepwalking and not awake yet,
that that everything that is

649
00:35:14,760 --> 00:35:16,840
occurring now that he is
actually still sleepwalking.

650
00:35:17,640 --> 00:35:21,720
And then we get a little bonus
nugget into their past.

651
00:35:22,400 --> 00:35:26,320
I actually enjoyed that, that
yeah, that he was a a bit of a

652
00:35:26,320 --> 00:35:28,760
drunk.
We learned that Agent McCall was

653
00:35:28,760 --> 00:35:32,600
a bit of a drunk and that he
once peed in his own coat

654
00:35:32,600 --> 00:35:34,680
closet.
Listen, things happen sometimes.

655
00:35:34,920 --> 00:35:36,600
You know what?
I could absolutely see how that

656
00:35:36,600 --> 00:35:37,600
happened.
So I'm.

657
00:35:37,760 --> 00:35:39,760
I can't do.
Of all the things we mad at

658
00:35:39,760 --> 00:35:41,320
Agent McCall about, this isn't
one of them.

659
00:35:41,680 --> 00:35:44,320
No.
And he's like, how do we, how do

660
00:35:44,320 --> 00:35:47,720
we know that Styles hasn't just
convinced himself that he's in a

661
00:35:47,720 --> 00:35:50,960
basement because he's
sleepwalking and that he and

662
00:35:50,960 --> 00:35:53,600
McCall has like an idea about
where he is?

663
00:35:53,920 --> 00:36:00,400
So that's where he is off to.
So Styles and Bandage Man are

664
00:36:00,400 --> 00:36:03,480
still duking it out over his
sanity.

665
00:36:03,760 --> 00:36:08,320
And he's like, it's a Riddle.
This is all a Riddle.

666
00:36:08,440 --> 00:36:11,200
And so Bandage Man decides that
this is the right time to get a

667
00:36:11,200 --> 00:36:14,120
little funny.
I know I was like, let's not do

668
00:36:14,120 --> 00:36:15,920
this now, man.
We're going to talk some

669
00:36:15,920 --> 00:36:17,000
riddles.
Hooray.

670
00:36:18,080 --> 00:36:22,040
I I am not a Riddle person.
I have never been a Riddle

671
00:36:22,040 --> 00:36:24,320
person.
Whenever you know, let's ask

672
00:36:24,320 --> 00:36:25,480
some riddles.
Do you know the answer?

673
00:36:25,480 --> 00:36:27,520
Like I never know the answer.
I never do.

674
00:36:28,040 --> 00:36:31,280
I don't know if I'm too literal
and I just can't I don't know.

675
00:36:31,360 --> 00:36:34,800
But he goes through a couple
riddles of what gets bigger the

676
00:36:34,800 --> 00:36:36,840
more you take it away.
A hole.

677
00:36:37,040 --> 00:36:38,560
What gets wetter the more it
dries?

678
00:36:38,560 --> 00:36:39,880
A towel.
Towel.

679
00:36:40,640 --> 00:36:44,560
When is a door not a door?
When it's a jar.

680
00:36:44,920 --> 00:36:48,560
And then the final one.
Everyone has it, but no one can

681
00:36:48,560 --> 00:36:51,280
lose it.
And the way I was shouting the

682
00:36:51,280 --> 00:36:56,160
answer at my computer because
I've seen this episode before.

683
00:36:56,480 --> 00:37:01,680
Yes and Styles does not know the
answer and the figure just keeps

684
00:37:01,680 --> 00:37:06,960
yelling the Riddle at him over
and over and over and he does

685
00:37:06,960 --> 00:37:12,360
not know the answer and the the
figure like gets up and styles

686
00:37:12,360 --> 00:37:15,480
his face and then starts
dragging him across the floor as

687
00:37:15,480 --> 00:37:21,680
he screams until he wakes up in
Melissa's arms in the woods.

688
00:37:21,840 --> 00:37:24,320
In the loving arms of his
mother, Melissa McCall.

689
00:37:24,680 --> 00:37:28,000
Yes.
And just kind of shakes and

690
00:37:28,000 --> 00:37:29,640
cries because Dylan O'Brien is
the best.

691
00:37:29,800 --> 00:37:33,760
My God, the screaming, the
crying, I like even hearing it

692
00:37:33,760 --> 00:37:37,720
kind of now hits me in the heart
like Oh my God, that was real.

693
00:37:38,280 --> 00:37:41,520
So intense.
I hope that after that day of

694
00:37:41,520 --> 00:37:45,480
filming that man got a lot of
hugs and got to go home to like

695
00:37:45,480 --> 00:37:48,600
a warm blankie and some nice
comfort TV.

696
00:37:49,000 --> 00:37:51,160
For sure.
Because that had to have been a

697
00:37:51,160 --> 00:37:55,520
rough fucking day.
And it's not like it's not like

698
00:37:55,520 --> 00:37:57,320
you just do it once you got to
do a couple.

699
00:37:57,320 --> 00:37:58,800
Takes.
I had to do it a couple times

700
00:37:58,800 --> 00:38:02,800
like.
Yeah, that is a lot to do.

701
00:38:03,160 --> 00:38:07,600
Speaking of a less happy family,
sort of kind of Isaac in proving

702
00:38:07,600 --> 00:38:11,120
that he has keys to everybody's
house, goes to confront Allison

703
00:38:11,120 --> 00:38:13,880
in person and it's like, where
the fuck have you been?

704
00:38:13,880 --> 00:38:16,080
And she's like exceeded the I
was sleeping, what's wrong with

705
00:38:16,080 --> 00:38:18,040
you?
And so they go to investigate

706
00:38:18,040 --> 00:38:22,560
and turns out that her phone is
turned off, but she turns it on

707
00:38:22,560 --> 00:38:28,240
only to find a slew of missed
calls and texts from Scott and

708
00:38:28,240 --> 00:38:31,080
Isaac that Scott that Styles is
missing.

709
00:38:31,080 --> 00:38:32,720
And like, you know, she gets
really worried.

710
00:38:32,720 --> 00:38:34,240
Like, where is he?
Like, can we go find him?

711
00:38:34,560 --> 00:38:37,280
And then there's this.
Like some out of weirdly

712
00:38:37,280 --> 00:38:41,280
nowhere, this huge list of
unplayed voicemails from an

713
00:38:41,280 --> 00:38:44,840
unknown number.
Yep, and it's there's a a

714
00:38:44,840 --> 00:38:48,560
message just in Japanese that
very much sounds like a radio

715
00:38:48,560 --> 00:38:50,320
broadcast.
Yeah, it very much sounds like a

716
00:38:50,320 --> 00:38:52,920
radio broadcast just on her
phone's answering machine.

717
00:38:53,440 --> 00:38:56,280
Yep, just just hanging out there
and they're like, well, this is

718
00:38:56,280 --> 00:38:57,600
weird.
I don't like this.

719
00:38:58,360 --> 00:39:00,080
I don't care for this at all,
thank you.

720
00:39:00,120 --> 00:39:03,360
That's some that's something I
do care for, is the next scene

721
00:39:03,400 --> 00:39:07,040
of Derek jumping Styles as Jeep
because he is not even gonna

722
00:39:07,040 --> 00:39:08,800
leave the Jeep behind of.
Course not.

723
00:39:09,200 --> 00:39:12,320
'Cause that Jeep is his baby.
Derek will not leave the Jeep

724
00:39:12,320 --> 00:39:13,720
behind.
Derek knows.

725
00:39:14,160 --> 00:39:16,000
Derek knows.
This is not the this.

726
00:39:16,000 --> 00:39:19,120
This may not be the first time,
but it is certainly not the last

727
00:39:19,120 --> 00:39:22,480
time.
And, you know, Aiden's like,

728
00:39:22,680 --> 00:39:24,240
God, there's a lot of shit in
this town.

729
00:39:24,240 --> 00:39:27,600
And Derek's like, yeah, there
it's always something more going

730
00:39:27,600 --> 00:39:29,640
on just.
And I actually really like the

731
00:39:29,640 --> 00:39:32,160
way he says it.
He's like so resigned.

732
00:39:32,560 --> 00:39:35,560
He's like, yeah, yeah, this is,
this is Beacon Hills.

733
00:39:35,560 --> 00:39:37,040
You better fucking get used to
it, man.

734
00:39:37,040 --> 00:39:37,920
Get.
Used to it.

735
00:39:38,320 --> 00:39:42,880
And Aiden's, like, you know, I I
overheard Styles telling Scott

736
00:39:42,880 --> 00:39:45,120
Overheard.
Meaning I was eavesdropping, of

737
00:39:45,240 --> 00:39:46,480
course.
Styles telling Scott that he

738
00:39:46,480 --> 00:39:49,520
thinks that, you know, he's
probably the nigetzine.

739
00:39:49,640 --> 00:39:52,280
Like, I it's me.
I'm the one behind all this.

740
00:39:52,960 --> 00:39:58,360
And Derek's has the classic top,
I don't know, top 20 lines.

741
00:39:58,400 --> 00:40:00,600
Yeah, Top 10 somewhere in there
for sure.

742
00:40:01,040 --> 00:40:05,000
You think Styles skinny?
Defenseless Styles is the new

743
00:40:05,080 --> 00:40:09,160
Gitsune so good.
He's so just like Nah bro that

744
00:40:09,160 --> 00:40:12,640
kid.
Now there's so many ways to

745
00:40:12,640 --> 00:40:16,640
interpret this and everyone has
their favourites. 1

746
00:40:16,640 --> 00:40:20,480
interpretation can be we're
still on the like enemies to

747
00:40:20,480 --> 00:40:23,960
acquaintances to friends
pipeline where Derek doesn't

748
00:40:23,960 --> 00:40:27,760
believe of all of the people to
get targeted that it's really

749
00:40:27,760 --> 00:40:30,120
not Styles.
There's another set of

750
00:40:30,120 --> 00:40:33,320
interpretations in which Derek's
actually really worried about

751
00:40:33,320 --> 00:40:36,480
this and is trying to like fend
it off.

752
00:40:36,800 --> 00:40:39,440
There's another one still in
which Derek still doesn't

753
00:40:39,440 --> 00:40:42,520
entirely trust the twins being,
you know, as they murdered Boyd

754
00:40:43,560 --> 00:40:50,520
and is trying to kind of disarm
and protect Styles from Aiden To

755
00:40:50,520 --> 00:40:53,080
be like, you don't have to worry
about him, he's not, whatever,

756
00:40:53,080 --> 00:40:55,360
go away.
Yeah, don't.

757
00:40:55,360 --> 00:40:57,520
Don't think about styles.
You don't even don't even think.

758
00:40:57,520 --> 00:40:59,960
About it, just don't even think
about it, don't even worry about

759
00:40:59,960 --> 00:41:01,120
it and.
Eyeballs off of him.

760
00:41:01,120 --> 00:41:02,640
And each and every one of those
breaks my heart.

761
00:41:02,640 --> 00:41:04,240
Each and every one of those
hurts my heart.

762
00:41:05,280 --> 00:41:10,720
But as Derek proceeds to jump
the Jeep with power from his own

763
00:41:11,080 --> 00:41:17,400
weird mom van, he comes to a
conclusion about power.

764
00:41:18,760 --> 00:41:19,960
It's like, why not?
Why wouldn't?

765
00:41:19,960 --> 00:41:23,360
Then it gets in a take someone
with a little more power.

766
00:41:23,640 --> 00:41:25,080
Little more.
A little more power, little more

767
00:41:25,120 --> 00:41:28,320
juice.
Now, now, now.

768
00:41:28,560 --> 00:41:30,520
Now.
To be fair, there is another

769
00:41:30,520 --> 00:41:34,640
version of this show where
there's a very big reason why

770
00:41:34,640 --> 00:41:36,160
then it gets in a would take
styles.

771
00:41:36,280 --> 00:41:39,800
Yeah, magic styles.
Because he's a fucking magician.

772
00:41:39,960 --> 00:41:41,920
Magic Styles Magic.
Styles.

773
00:41:42,320 --> 00:41:45,840
He has all the spark he could
possibly need.

774
00:41:45,840 --> 00:41:48,200
He's got all the power, he's got
all the energy.

775
00:41:48,760 --> 00:41:51,920
Yeah.
Absolutely there absolutely that

776
00:41:51,920 --> 00:41:56,480
that totally works 100%.
So like Deaton was already

777
00:41:56,560 --> 00:41:59,520
starting to train him up.
He had plenty.

778
00:42:00,520 --> 00:42:02,760
We don't need to tell you, dear
listener, what we think.

779
00:42:03,560 --> 00:42:06,880
You can tear magic styles out of
my cold bed hands.

780
00:42:07,240 --> 00:42:10,240
Cold, dead hands.
Don't make me get a tattoo about

781
00:42:10,240 --> 00:42:11,800
it.
I'll do it.

782
00:42:12,840 --> 00:42:16,200
Oh well, I think I you know this
is an event.

783
00:42:16,200 --> 00:42:19,360
It cannot be undone.
I don't actually have any fandom

784
00:42:19,360 --> 00:42:21,840
tattoos.
Yeah, no, not yet.

785
00:42:22,560 --> 00:42:29,040
So cold, dead hands anyway, at
the hospital and the sheriff,

786
00:42:29,440 --> 00:42:33,400
McCall, sheriff and Melissa are
like having a little grown up

787
00:42:33,400 --> 00:42:39,240
chat And McCall is like that
weird smell that style or that

788
00:42:39,240 --> 00:42:42,080
was described by styles to
Scott.

789
00:42:42,120 --> 00:42:46,280
Like that's the stuff that we
sprayed in the tape coyote den

790
00:42:46,560 --> 00:42:49,680
to keep the other animals out,
which is where they found styles

791
00:42:49,680 --> 00:42:53,320
like that.
That's what sparked that thought

792
00:42:53,320 --> 00:42:56,480
is the smell.
And the sheriff actually, like,

793
00:42:56,560 --> 00:42:59,200
sincerely thanks, Detective
Douchebag.

794
00:42:59,560 --> 00:43:02,880
Thank you Detective douchebag
for saving styles.

795
00:43:03,320 --> 00:43:05,760
Yep, and they shake hands very
cordially.

796
00:43:06,080 --> 00:43:09,400
Very adult.
Unfortunately, Lydia is still

797
00:43:09,400 --> 00:43:11,480
hearing stuff.
Yeah, for sure.

798
00:43:11,760 --> 00:43:13,120
But is like Nope, didn't hear
it.

799
00:43:14,040 --> 00:43:15,440
Moving on.
No thank you.

800
00:43:15,560 --> 00:43:17,760
I don't want.
It it's definitely not Scott

801
00:43:17,760 --> 00:43:19,960
grabbing Lydia by the hand to
lead her away.

802
00:43:19,960 --> 00:43:23,600
That absolutely didn't shatter
my heart into 1000 pieces.

803
00:43:23,600 --> 00:43:26,160
I know absolutely not she.
Needs someone to tell her they

804
00:43:26,200 --> 00:43:28,560
love her too.
Oh my God.

805
00:43:28,680 --> 00:43:31,040
Who's not Aiden?
Let it.

806
00:43:31,440 --> 00:43:33,720
Let it be Scott.
Let it be Scott.

807
00:43:34,120 --> 00:43:36,480
Not that I don't love Scott and
Alice, and not that I don't love

808
00:43:36,480 --> 00:43:39,600
Scott and Kira, but just for a
minute, can we talk about Scott

809
00:43:39,600 --> 00:43:41,400
and Lydia?
Oh my God.

810
00:43:41,560 --> 00:43:43,320
I just think they all need
fucking friends.

811
00:43:43,640 --> 00:43:48,640
They all need fucking friends
and the way that Scott and Lydia

812
00:43:49,280 --> 00:43:53,080
like I absolutely will.
I will happily take romantic

813
00:43:53,080 --> 00:43:58,560
Scott and Lydia 100,000% but
like the Canon events, the way

814
00:43:58,920 --> 00:44:04,920
that Scott's earnest love of
humanity finally gets through to

815
00:44:04,920 --> 00:44:10,080
Lydia, and that Lydia can see
Scott not for like this dopey

816
00:44:10,080 --> 00:44:14,120
whatever, but as an actual
person who loves and cares and

817
00:44:14,120 --> 00:44:17,200
tries.
They bring out the best in each

818
00:44:17,200 --> 00:44:20,120
other.
I love them so much.

819
00:44:20,120 --> 00:44:23,960
They are so good for each other.
I have a lot of feelings about

820
00:44:23,960 --> 00:44:27,480
Scott and Lydia and how they
continue to grow and push each

821
00:44:27,480 --> 00:44:30,400
other and develop.
And I just, I have a lot of

822
00:44:30,400 --> 00:44:35,040
feelings about Scott and Lydia.
That's why they're all a pack.

823
00:44:35,280 --> 00:44:36,360
That's right.
That's right.

824
00:44:36,800 --> 00:44:40,240
So apparently they all still do
have to go to school after all

825
00:44:40,240 --> 00:44:44,200
of this retro, which is shitty.
So Scott's in the locker room of

826
00:44:44,200 --> 00:44:47,600
Requirement texting Deaton for
help who is not helpful.

827
00:44:47,680 --> 00:44:49,760
No.
He's like working on it.

828
00:44:49,760 --> 00:44:52,200
Working on it, are you?
Are you?

829
00:44:52,960 --> 00:44:56,160
Kira tries to get Scott's
attention out in the hallway,

830
00:44:56,200 --> 00:45:00,400
but he is either ignoring her or
is just utterly distracted.

831
00:45:00,440 --> 00:45:03,560
He's for sure he's just like
distracted and cannot handle it

832
00:45:03,560 --> 00:45:06,720
and just chooses to ignore her.
And Kira, rightly so, has her

833
00:45:06,720 --> 00:45:11,320
little heart broke.
She does, until when Mr. Derrick

834
00:45:11,320 --> 00:45:14,040
Hale shows up looking fine as
fuck.

835
00:45:14,440 --> 00:45:16,920
Oh my God.
And it's like hello I can help

836
00:45:16,920 --> 00:45:18,960
you.
And Scott's Big Brother Derek

837
00:45:18,960 --> 00:45:22,360
shows up to be like hi.
So first of all I have

838
00:45:22,360 --> 00:45:24,960
questions.
How did you get to the school?

839
00:45:25,040 --> 00:45:27,760
Anyone can get into the school.
There's no one keeping people

840
00:45:27,760 --> 00:45:30,560
out for real, for we don't go
here anymore.

841
00:45:30,840 --> 00:45:32,840
And I just, I want to hug here
at this moment.

842
00:45:32,840 --> 00:45:34,320
I'm like, baby girl, it's not
your fault.

843
00:45:34,320 --> 00:45:35,800
It's not your fault.
He's not mad at you.

844
00:45:35,800 --> 00:45:37,840
He's just really distracted by
life right now.

845
00:45:37,840 --> 00:45:40,200
It's OK.
Yeah, he is.

846
00:45:40,960 --> 00:45:46,480
So Derek is there because he
wants Kira to show him, tell him

847
00:45:46,480 --> 00:45:48,640
what happened at the power
station with Barrow.

848
00:45:49,080 --> 00:45:52,520
Because he wants formulating
ideas of his own.

849
00:45:53,560 --> 00:45:55,000
Which, of course, he won't tell
anyone about.

850
00:45:55,160 --> 00:45:59,080
Of course, he hasn't learned.
Much yet so to stick with them,

851
00:45:59,600 --> 00:46:00,680
Kira, I guess.
I guess.

852
00:46:00,680 --> 00:46:02,640
Derek signs Kira out of school
for the day.

853
00:46:02,880 --> 00:46:04,920
I guess, yeah.
She takes him to the power

854
00:46:04,920 --> 00:46:10,120
station and there is a baseball
bat stuck to the the machinery.

855
00:46:10,680 --> 00:46:13,080
And yes.
Keep going, keep going, keep

856
00:46:13,080 --> 00:46:15,400
going.
Well, and Derek's like it's

857
00:46:15,400 --> 00:46:17,120
styles this bat.
And I was like, yes, of course

858
00:46:17,120 --> 00:46:18,640
you know that.
Yes, of course you know that,

859
00:46:18,640 --> 00:46:19,160
Derek.
How do you?

860
00:46:19,200 --> 00:46:21,720
How do you know that, Derek?
How do you know that anyway?

861
00:46:22,000 --> 00:46:24,520
He's seen it.
It probably smells like style.

862
00:46:24,960 --> 00:46:28,320
Smells like, style like, and
also officially welcome to the

863
00:46:28,320 --> 00:46:31,880
Hail pack, Kira.
Yes, she is wearing a leather

864
00:46:31,880 --> 00:46:32,640
jacket.
I wrote that down.

865
00:46:32,640 --> 00:46:33,880
This is.
The official Halo Pack leather

866
00:46:33,880 --> 00:46:35,520
jacket.
She sure is.

867
00:46:35,640 --> 00:46:37,040
Yep.
Love this for her.

868
00:46:37,480 --> 00:46:41,680
I do Welcome, welcome friend.
So Derek, Derek can't move this.

869
00:46:42,000 --> 00:46:44,520
Well, he can't, but it takes
some effort to move this bat

870
00:46:45,000 --> 00:46:48,280
because it's been magnetized.
And I I did write down that you

871
00:46:48,280 --> 00:46:50,240
can't magnetize aluminum, but
like, whatever.

872
00:46:50,480 --> 00:46:52,640
Yeah, but yeah.
It's magic.

873
00:46:53,480 --> 00:46:56,240
Magic.
And Derek, who has grown like

874
00:46:56,240 --> 00:46:59,200
the perfect amount of of beard
scruff, correct.

875
00:46:59,680 --> 00:47:03,040
It's like, I mean, Tyler Hiklin
can have any length of beard and

876
00:47:03,040 --> 00:47:04,720
it's perfect.
But this one is especially

877
00:47:05,200 --> 00:47:06,680
correct for his face.
Indeed.

878
00:47:06,720 --> 00:47:09,240
He's like, I need you to tell me
everything about Foxfire.

879
00:47:09,560 --> 00:47:11,760
And poor Kira, who doesn't know
shit about Foxfire.

880
00:47:12,120 --> 00:47:15,880
Kira, who barely knows what she
is, is like I have a children's

881
00:47:15,880 --> 00:47:19,560
book.
Yeah, I just, I have so many

882
00:47:19,560 --> 00:47:23,760
questions, but we have,
unfortunately for everybody,

883
00:47:24,200 --> 00:47:29,920
Mama McCall and Papa Sheriff.
I can we stay at the high school

884
00:47:29,920 --> 00:47:31,960
and then do all of the hospital.
Oh yeah, of course.

885
00:47:32,480 --> 00:47:34,480
OK, because otherwise we're
gonna, like, do the hospital for

886
00:47:34,480 --> 00:47:36,560
half a second and then go back
to the high school and then go

887
00:47:36,560 --> 00:47:39,480
back.
So like so Isaac and Allison,

888
00:47:39,480 --> 00:47:42,600
who are never going to class
again, apparently have taken the

889
00:47:42,600 --> 00:47:46,080
message on Allison's phone to
Mr. Yukimura to translate.

890
00:47:46,240 --> 00:47:48,720
The only teacher in school with
any amount of trust.

891
00:47:49,360 --> 00:47:51,080
Yes.
That he's the only one they can

892
00:47:51,080 --> 00:47:53,800
trust.
And he's like the the guy

893
00:47:53,800 --> 00:47:57,480
talking is giving instructions
to evacuate a Japanese

894
00:47:57,480 --> 00:47:59,400
internment camp during World War
2.

895
00:47:59,640 --> 00:48:03,360
But it has to be a fake because
they're talking about Oak Creek

896
00:48:03,360 --> 00:48:07,280
Camp, which never existed.
So I don't know why you'd have

897
00:48:07,280 --> 00:48:10,400
this message or who sent it.
But like, it's not it's not

898
00:48:10,400 --> 00:48:14,840
real.
It's not like a genuine radio

899
00:48:14,840 --> 00:48:18,080
transmission.
It's it's super weird but OK

900
00:48:18,080 --> 00:48:19,280
Thanks.
Super weird.

901
00:48:19,760 --> 00:48:22,200
And then kind of out in the
hallway, well, kind of

902
00:48:22,200 --> 00:48:27,160
everywhere.
Lydia is just hyper sensitive to

903
00:48:27,160 --> 00:48:30,560
like metal on metal.
Clangy sounds like a locker

904
00:48:30,560 --> 00:48:32,760
slamming.
Although her hair is looking

905
00:48:33,280 --> 00:48:35,040
super cute.
Oh my God, Lydia.

906
00:48:35,040 --> 00:48:37,880
This whole episode looking like
a vampire queen.

907
00:48:38,920 --> 00:48:40,320
Oh my God.
Oh my God.

908
00:48:40,520 --> 00:48:42,160
I was like God I wish someone
would do that to my hair

909
00:48:42,160 --> 00:48:43,800
everyday.
Just peek.

910
00:48:43,800 --> 00:48:46,920
Incredible.
Now one of the cool things I'm

911
00:48:46,920 --> 00:48:50,600
learning as I get older, you
know, one of the things that you

912
00:48:50,600 --> 00:48:54,560
get better at is you get more
words when you're little and

913
00:48:54,560 --> 00:48:57,200
like, your tummy hurts, it just
hurts.

914
00:48:57,240 --> 00:49:00,880
And you're, you don't yet have
the, the experience to be able

915
00:49:00,880 --> 00:49:02,720
to tell, is it sharp?
Is it dull?

916
00:49:02,720 --> 00:49:06,560
Is it radiating?
Is it, you know, a period cramp

917
00:49:06,560 --> 00:49:08,440
versus a Constipation cramp
versus gas?

918
00:49:08,440 --> 00:49:09,840
Cause those all feel a little
different.

919
00:49:09,840 --> 00:49:12,640
You don't know, you don't have
the words, you just know that it

920
00:49:12,640 --> 00:49:15,200
hurts.
The same comes with like

921
00:49:15,200 --> 00:49:18,880
experience for noises.
So it's like when Lydia was

922
00:49:18,880 --> 00:49:22,760
having that whole thing with
that the flies versus the, the

923
00:49:22,760 --> 00:49:26,400
electricity and the light bulb,
my grown up brain was like, Oh

924
00:49:26,440 --> 00:49:27,560
yeah, those are two different
sounds.

925
00:49:28,560 --> 00:49:32,560
So when she started hearing this
particular clanging sound, I

926
00:49:32,560 --> 00:49:34,920
immediately was like, oh, I know
what that I know what that sound

927
00:49:34,920 --> 00:49:38,760
is because that's a very
specific sound.

928
00:49:39,680 --> 00:49:42,760
But your average 1617 year old
isn't going to know what that

929
00:49:42,760 --> 00:49:45,240
sound is.
It's unfortunately as you get

930
00:49:45,240 --> 00:49:47,320
older you've just heard more
shit.

931
00:49:47,360 --> 00:49:49,960
You've just heard more shit and
you've been in more scenarios

932
00:49:49,960 --> 00:49:53,120
like, you know, So what she's
hearing is going to become

933
00:49:53,120 --> 00:49:54,640
really, really relevant here in
a minute.

934
00:49:55,040 --> 00:49:59,840
But she doesn't know that.
She just hears this loud metal

935
00:49:59,840 --> 00:50:05,000
on metal clanging.
Yep, and it is killing her.

936
00:50:05,120 --> 00:50:07,640
And Scotty is so Scotty is so
worried.

937
00:50:08,000 --> 00:50:11,680
Yeah, Yep.
So Lydia's like, I gotta, I

938
00:50:11,680 --> 00:50:14,640
gotta go.
She has to leave before her head

939
00:50:14,640 --> 00:50:20,400
just explodes.
So at the hospital, Melissa is

940
00:50:20,400 --> 00:50:24,200
talking to the sheriff about
styles of symptoms, but the

941
00:50:24,200 --> 00:50:27,880
sheriff has already written them
down for like the last two weeks

942
00:50:28,200 --> 00:50:30,720
because it's not like he hasn't
noticed.

943
00:50:30,880 --> 00:50:33,360
Yeah, not like he hasn't seen it
before.

944
00:50:34,240 --> 00:50:39,360
Yeah, so he wanna, he wants to
do some tests and I just, I have

945
00:50:39,360 --> 00:50:43,560
to assume it's the the upside of
living in a small town, being

946
00:50:43,560 --> 00:50:49,000
the sheriff and you're not wife,
not girlfriend working at the

947
00:50:49,000 --> 00:50:50,920
hospital that you just get an
MRI the same day.

948
00:50:51,000 --> 00:50:52,640
Yeah, for sure.
Same.

949
00:50:52,640 --> 00:50:54,280
Same moment, yeah.
Pretty much you just.

950
00:50:54,520 --> 00:50:56,440
Slide right in there.
Well, Scotty shows up, so it's

951
00:50:56,440 --> 00:50:59,680
got to be around 6, is like what
he says to Lydia in the hallway.

952
00:50:59,920 --> 00:51:01,560
Yeah.
So it's an evening time.

953
00:51:01,560 --> 00:51:03,080
It's been scheduled for later
that day.

954
00:51:03,400 --> 00:51:07,440
Which I I guess they do.
Maybe it qualifies an emergency.

955
00:51:07,440 --> 00:51:08,800
I don't know how they're making
this happen.

956
00:51:09,080 --> 00:51:10,880
But.
I don't even know how the MRI

957
00:51:10,880 --> 00:51:13,440
tech is reading them the
results, frankly.

958
00:51:13,440 --> 00:51:14,360
You're not allowed to do that.
Not.

959
00:51:14,400 --> 00:51:15,960
His job?
You're absolutely allowed to do

960
00:51:15,960 --> 00:51:17,240
that.
You gotta wait for the

961
00:51:17,240 --> 00:51:20,080
neurologist my friend.
So like, let's fucking talk for

962
00:51:20,080 --> 00:51:22,840
a second, 'cause I'm gonna set
this up and then I'm going to

963
00:51:22,840 --> 00:51:24,160
cry.
OK, great.

964
00:51:24,400 --> 00:51:29,800
So in yes or no, in that MRI is
like Styles's entire family.

965
00:51:30,040 --> 00:51:35,240
It's the sheriff and Scott and
Mama McCall that is his family.

966
00:51:35,880 --> 00:51:38,840
And Styles is so fucking loved
by his whole family and it's

967
00:51:38,840 --> 00:51:42,840
wonderful.
So the sheriff and Mama go out

968
00:51:43,200 --> 00:51:46,440
into with the, with the the guy
in the lab coat who's running

969
00:51:46,440 --> 00:51:50,480
the MRI machine.
And Stiles tells Scott that,

970
00:51:50,480 --> 00:51:52,440
like, I think I know what
they're looking for.

971
00:51:52,640 --> 00:51:56,040
And it's this, it's frontal
temporal dementia, which is what

972
00:51:56,040 --> 00:51:58,120
killed my mom.
And it's the only kind of dement

973
00:51:58,120 --> 00:52:02,640
that affects teenagers.
And Scott in that moment is

974
00:52:02,640 --> 00:52:05,800
like, you know, I'll, if it's
something, then I'll do

975
00:52:05,800 --> 00:52:08,840
something.
And we all are supposed to read

976
00:52:08,840 --> 00:52:10,040
that.
It's like, if it turns out that

977
00:52:10,040 --> 00:52:11,760
it's real, I'll bite you and
become a werewolf.

978
00:52:11,760 --> 00:52:14,200
And we're going to fix it.
And my only note here is that,

979
00:52:14,200 --> 00:52:16,560
boy, is Peter going to be pissed
off that he didn't get to do

980
00:52:16,560 --> 00:52:18,560
that?
Peter's like, what?

981
00:52:18,560 --> 00:52:20,000
I'm not good enough for you
anymore.

982
00:52:22,440 --> 00:52:26,320
So we've got just the the
sweetest, softest Scott and

983
00:52:26,320 --> 00:52:28,240
styles.
This hug is critical.

984
00:52:28,560 --> 00:52:32,040
This hug is incredible.
And Mama and Papa in the in the

985
00:52:32,040 --> 00:52:35,520
little like lab tech room aren't
just being incredibly soft.

986
00:52:35,840 --> 00:52:39,120
But then who shows up outside
Derek and.

987
00:52:39,360 --> 00:52:44,400
Kira and Kira.
OK, as a as an aside, there's a

988
00:52:44,400 --> 00:52:47,680
really good shot of the car that
Derek rolls up in.

989
00:52:48,080 --> 00:52:50,320
It's a Toyota.
Sponsored by Toyota.

990
00:52:51,000 --> 00:52:55,400
It is.
It is blue and it is roughly

991
00:52:55,400 --> 00:52:59,240
Jeep shaped if you look at it.
I suppose, yeah.

992
00:52:59,520 --> 00:53:02,960
I just like I hadn't really
noticed 'cause it's it's not

993
00:53:02,960 --> 00:53:06,520
minivan shaped, it is roughly
Jeep shaped.

994
00:53:06,520 --> 00:53:09,440
Yeah, it's, it's more of the box
kind of car.

995
00:53:09,480 --> 00:53:12,360
It's like a suburban, kind of.
And I just, I had a moment of

996
00:53:12,360 --> 00:53:19,040
like matching cars.
This disappears for season 6

997
00:53:19,040 --> 00:53:22,080
whatever at the very end when
he's back into like a Camaro.

998
00:53:23,080 --> 00:53:27,040
But I was like interesting
choice of car.

999
00:53:27,120 --> 00:53:28,560
For the moment.
For you.

1000
00:53:28,560 --> 00:53:34,640
But yes he he does roll up with
Kira to to be there for him I

1001
00:53:34,760 --> 00:53:37,760
guess.
And so they have this whole back

1002
00:53:37,760 --> 00:53:41,480
and forth about, you know,
should Kara actually go inside

1003
00:53:41,480 --> 00:53:46,200
and, you know, did I actually do
this to Styles for her and

1004
00:53:46,200 --> 00:53:48,120
Darren?
Was Barrow going to use the

1005
00:53:48,120 --> 00:53:51,040
Foxfire to jump start?
Then it gets today in styles.

1006
00:53:51,600 --> 00:53:52,840
Maybe.
Maybe.

1007
00:53:53,760 --> 00:53:57,880
And so Derek in his like most
fangy Big Brother, we goes,

1008
00:53:58,080 --> 00:54:00,880
maybe you should stay out here.
Derek.

1009
00:54:01,480 --> 00:54:04,240
Middle name Hale, Why are you
here?

1010
00:54:05,160 --> 00:54:07,880
He's there to watch over his
pack.

1011
00:54:08,000 --> 00:54:10,760
Is he there because he is part
of this family?

1012
00:54:11,080 --> 00:54:14,480
Yes, of course he is.
Mama and Papa and Styles and

1013
00:54:14,480 --> 00:54:19,760
Scott and Derek and Derek like
you cannot tell me.

1014
00:54:20,120 --> 00:54:21,560
He's there to take care of his
family.

1015
00:54:21,640 --> 00:54:25,800
What's the problem?
You cannot tell me I am wounded.

1016
00:54:25,800 --> 00:54:29,880
I do not perceive me.
I cannot be.

1017
00:54:30,280 --> 00:54:31,840
Stop it.
Ouch.

1018
00:54:32,360 --> 00:54:34,960
Yeah.
Ouch, Ouch.

1019
00:54:35,440 --> 00:54:40,840
And he can, I'm assume, smell
how scared Styles is, which, you

1020
00:54:40,840 --> 00:54:44,080
know, he and he and Scott have a
little chat about this because

1021
00:54:44,080 --> 00:54:49,120
they are outside in a very
angled shot, like the the camera

1022
00:54:49,120 --> 00:54:52,760
could not have been more tilted
during these the scene between

1023
00:54:52,760 --> 00:54:55,960
Scott and Derek.
And yet the two of them,

1024
00:54:55,960 --> 00:54:58,000
they're, it's not the same
angle.

1025
00:54:58,680 --> 00:55:00,560
I keep thinking about it.
You brought it up in Season 1

1026
00:55:00,560 --> 00:55:01,800
and I cannot stop thinking about
it.

1027
00:55:02,240 --> 00:55:05,120
Derek's shots are so female,
gaze coded.

1028
00:55:06,240 --> 00:55:07,720
They always are.
They always are.

1029
00:55:07,720 --> 00:55:11,200
But like it's again, we're
looking at Scott and Derek in

1030
00:55:11,200 --> 00:55:14,320
the same hallway, in the same
lighting, in the same damn

1031
00:55:14,320 --> 00:55:18,960
chairs, and Scott is like nicely
cropped but still full light on

1032
00:55:18,960 --> 00:55:24,240
his face, full frame of emotion.
And Derek's are shot like down

1033
00:55:24,240 --> 00:55:26,720
with his eyelashes.
It's 100.

1034
00:55:26,760 --> 00:55:28,840
I was gonna say like, this is
look at my eyelashes.

1035
00:55:28,840 --> 00:55:30,080
This is look.
At my fucking eye.

1036
00:55:30,200 --> 00:55:32,920
This is like if you could make a
shot of bedroom eyes.

1037
00:55:32,920 --> 00:55:36,200
Like are you fucking kidding me?
Yeah, aren't my cheekbones

1038
00:55:36,200 --> 00:55:39,640
beautiful?
Yes they are, and also yes,

1039
00:55:39,640 --> 00:55:41,360
they're beautiful.
You're incredibly beautiful.

1040
00:55:41,360 --> 00:55:43,600
Congratulations.
And also, why is this the

1041
00:55:43,600 --> 00:55:46,840
choice?
I am trying to hear what you're

1042
00:55:46,840 --> 00:55:51,240
saying, but I am gazing at you.
I am gazing at you, but like

1043
00:55:51,320 --> 00:55:55,240
you're kind of T Scott, like I
just Derek.

1044
00:55:55,240 --> 00:55:57,720
I get it, the cinematographers
think he's beautiful and they're

1045
00:55:57,720 --> 00:55:59,400
not wrong.
And they're not wrong.

1046
00:55:59,400 --> 00:56:03,160
But like, boy, does it really
look like he's being shot to

1047
00:56:03,160 --> 00:56:06,120
flirt with Scott in this moment.
Yeah.

1048
00:56:06,640 --> 00:56:09,600
Like, you're not wrong.
Like OK, but I just I have so

1049
00:56:09,600 --> 00:56:10,840
many questions.
Why?

1050
00:56:10,920 --> 00:56:14,560
Why weren't they shot the same?
The cameraman just can't help

1051
00:56:14,560 --> 00:56:16,440
it.
I just, I just don't understand.

1052
00:56:16,800 --> 00:56:20,000
But we get some things confirmed
in this conversation between

1053
00:56:20,000 --> 00:56:22,720
Scott and Derek in the waiting
hallway.

1054
00:56:23,280 --> 00:56:25,680
Derek took Cora back to South
America.

1055
00:56:26,040 --> 00:56:29,400
So Cora going to South America
after the fire is cannon.

1056
00:56:30,560 --> 00:56:34,080
And then I guess on the way back
up to California, Derek needed

1057
00:56:34,080 --> 00:56:37,160
to talk to his Mama.
Yep, the dead mom.

1058
00:56:37,400 --> 00:56:39,320
The dead mom.
His mom is dead.

1059
00:56:39,320 --> 00:56:42,880
He has a dead mom.
He's a dead mom who told him

1060
00:56:42,880 --> 00:56:45,760
that the Hale family didn't just
live in Beacon Hills, they

1061
00:56:45,760 --> 00:56:50,640
protected it, Cannon.
And now the town needs someone

1062
00:56:50,840 --> 00:56:53,600
else to protect it.
Someone Like You, Scott.

1063
00:56:53,880 --> 00:56:57,480
Because Derek.
No, Derek's just tired.

1064
00:56:57,680 --> 00:56:58,600
Derek's.
Just sleepy.

1065
00:56:59,280 --> 00:57:04,080
And, and Derek and Scott needs
Derek to teach him how to do

1066
00:57:04,080 --> 00:57:07,000
that.
He's finally like, I don't know

1067
00:57:07,000 --> 00:57:09,120
shit.
And I need you to do it because

1068
00:57:09,120 --> 00:57:11,680
you know which we've known.
Yeah.

1069
00:57:12,880 --> 00:57:18,600
Because he's a born wolf and has
millennia of experience in his

1070
00:57:18,600 --> 00:57:22,760
family and and now needs to pass
that on to his little bro.

1071
00:57:23,040 --> 00:57:24,920
To his little bro.
And then they reach this

1072
00:57:24,920 --> 00:57:30,000
conclusion that that Styles was
trying to protect them.

1073
00:57:30,160 --> 00:57:33,480
I think this is a bit of a logic
leap to get them to the next

1074
00:57:33,480 --> 00:57:34,600
scene.
For real.

1075
00:57:34,920 --> 00:57:39,440
Because it's like like a
revelation almost like I maybe

1076
00:57:39,440 --> 00:57:41,680
there's a missing sentence that
they cut out.

1077
00:57:41,680 --> 00:57:44,600
I don't know.
But Scott's literally just like

1078
00:57:44,640 --> 00:57:47,160
light bulb styles was trying to
protect us.

1079
00:57:47,280 --> 00:57:50,400
I was like, how did OK, well,
I'll take it.

1080
00:57:50,800 --> 00:57:52,200
But then Derek's like.
What?

1081
00:57:52,760 --> 00:57:54,960
Like, yes, but how did how did
you get there?

1082
00:57:55,440 --> 00:57:59,400
And Derek's like from himself,
like, OK, yes, but again, in

1083
00:57:59,400 --> 00:58:01,200
this moment, how did you get
there?

1084
00:58:01,680 --> 00:58:06,680
So they they race back up to the
roof and they're like styles was

1085
00:58:06,680 --> 00:58:12,000
trying to not do something and
they find a bag of tools and a

1086
00:58:12,040 --> 00:58:15,960
huge power cable that's been
damaged and is like sparking.

1087
00:58:16,200 --> 00:58:20,120
Yikes.
And out in her car, Lydia starts

1088
00:58:20,120 --> 00:58:22,800
to scream.
Yeah, like Lydia this whole time

1089
00:58:22,800 --> 00:58:25,760
has been sitting in her car, I
think, like maybe outside of the

1090
00:58:25,760 --> 00:58:28,720
hospital.
I had no idea, but she's.

1091
00:58:29,600 --> 00:58:31,640
Sitting in her car and she's
listening to music and she's

1092
00:58:31,640 --> 00:58:34,680
like very panic breathing.
She's like raving onto the

1093
00:58:34,680 --> 00:58:36,880
steering wheel.
And she, like, goes to the radio

1094
00:58:36,880 --> 00:58:40,840
and cranks up the song to try to
drown out the clanging that's

1095
00:58:40,840 --> 00:58:44,320
happening in her head.
And we look at the power line

1096
00:58:44,320 --> 00:58:48,080
and then out of nowhere the
sound cuts and Lydia screams.

1097
00:58:48,400 --> 00:58:51,840
Yep, very cool shot actually.
Oh yeah, it's gorgeous.

1098
00:58:52,640 --> 00:58:57,520
But kind of intercut this whole
time is Styles, who finally goes

1099
00:58:57,600 --> 00:59:01,480
into the MRI machine.
And did you ever watch America's

1100
00:59:01,480 --> 00:59:03,360
Next Top Model?
Yeah, quite a lot of it.

1101
00:59:03,600 --> 00:59:08,240
So in some of the early, early
seasons, they talk a lot about

1102
00:59:08,560 --> 00:59:11,760
like what they call a beauty
shot, or at least what they, I

1103
00:59:11,760 --> 00:59:13,520
don't know if that's what the
people call it.

1104
00:59:13,520 --> 00:59:17,200
But so there are a lot of models
who can do beautiful things with

1105
00:59:17,200 --> 00:59:22,560
their whole body, but it's a lot
harder to do model things just

1106
00:59:22,720 --> 00:59:25,840
with your face or dress with
your face and your bust.

1107
00:59:27,200 --> 00:59:30,040
And it's the same here in an MRI
machine.

1108
00:59:30,040 --> 00:59:32,960
For those of you who've never
had an MRI before, you're not

1109
00:59:32,960 --> 00:59:36,680
allowed to move.
It's taking very specific

1110
00:59:36,680 --> 00:59:40,520
pictures with very specific
magnets, and they don't want you

1111
00:59:40,520 --> 00:59:42,760
to move.
Like, we'll strap you in if you

1112
00:59:42,760 --> 00:59:46,880
think you can't move.
And so Dylan has to literally

1113
00:59:47,360 --> 00:59:51,120
act while not really being able
to move all that much.

1114
00:59:52,600 --> 00:59:54,880
And Oh my God, he's so good.
By the way, if you move like

1115
00:59:54,880 --> 00:59:56,920
this, kind of like with your
head back and forth, that

1116
00:59:56,920 --> 00:59:58,200
they're gonna make you do it
over again.

1117
00:59:58,200 --> 01:00:00,160
Like you can't move this much in
an MRI but.

1118
01:00:00,160 --> 01:00:02,200
No, you can't.
He's like squeezing his eyes

1119
01:00:02,200 --> 01:00:03,320
shut.
And even that I was like, you

1120
01:00:03,320 --> 01:00:05,560
can't do that.
Can't do that in the MRI, but

1121
01:00:05,560 --> 01:00:07,320
this varies.
For those of you who've never

1122
01:00:07,320 --> 01:00:11,080
done this before, an MRI, it's.
So loud.

1123
01:00:11,200 --> 01:00:12,880
He's really loud and it's really
scary.

1124
01:00:12,880 --> 01:00:17,480
So they put you basically in
this enormous metal tube, but

1125
01:00:17,480 --> 01:00:20,360
the room that you have in there
is not very much.

1126
01:00:21,000 --> 01:00:24,280
I had an MRI once.
I closed my eyes when I went in

1127
01:00:24,280 --> 01:00:26,520
and I opened it once and I
regretted it.

1128
01:00:26,520 --> 01:00:29,560
And then I it was like 45
minutes later and then I opened

1129
01:00:29,560 --> 01:00:31,960
my eyes on the way out.
Did they give you earplugs or

1130
01:00:31,960 --> 01:00:33,440
headphones?
They gave me headphones.

1131
01:00:33,440 --> 01:00:35,160
It was.
I got Christmas radio.

1132
01:00:35,160 --> 01:00:36,480
Oh.
OK.

1133
01:00:36,600 --> 01:00:38,960
For 45 minutes in my MRI.
Nice.

1134
01:00:39,320 --> 01:00:43,760
But that very specific clanging
noise that Lydia's been hearing

1135
01:00:43,760 --> 01:00:46,560
all day is what the doctor
warned Styles about.

1136
01:00:46,560 --> 01:00:50,160
There's gonna be this really
loud clanging noise, like a

1137
01:00:50,160 --> 01:00:53,840
hammer hitting an anvil, and
that's the noise that is inside

1138
01:00:53,840 --> 01:00:56,680
of an MRI machine.
Yep, it's loud.

1139
01:00:56,760 --> 01:00:59,320
It's really loud because it's
like right next to your head.

1140
01:01:00,280 --> 01:01:03,200
And so pro tip, if you're ever,
if you ever get the chance to

1141
01:01:03,200 --> 01:01:06,200
get an MRI, which is kind of
like a full body, it's like a

1142
01:01:06,200 --> 01:01:08,520
full body X-ray.
So like it's not always very

1143
01:01:08,520 --> 01:01:12,120
scary, but if they gave you the
chance to have headphones or

1144
01:01:12,120 --> 01:01:15,240
earplugs, please take it.
Very recommended.

1145
01:01:15,760 --> 01:01:18,720
Yeah, highly recommend.
Also like don't need one if you

1146
01:01:18,720 --> 01:01:20,360
can help it.
If you can help it, but you

1147
01:01:20,360 --> 01:01:25,560
know, yeah, but yes, so Lydia is
has been hearing all day long

1148
01:01:25,600 --> 01:01:31,840
the MRI noise.
And so Stiles is in the MRI and

1149
01:01:31,920 --> 01:01:34,960
they finally pulled up his
results.

1150
01:01:35,360 --> 01:01:38,000
Which they wouldn't do.
Which they would not do in front

1151
01:01:38,000 --> 01:01:41,040
of you and the and the tech is
legally not allowed to tell you

1152
01:01:41,040 --> 01:01:42,560
what's going on even if they
not.

1153
01:01:43,320 --> 01:01:44,560
Absolutely not.
None of this is real.

1154
01:01:44,560 --> 01:01:46,720
None of this is real.
This isn't right.

1155
01:01:46,960 --> 01:01:50,960
They can't do this.
But both Mama and Papa know

1156
01:01:50,960 --> 01:01:53,200
what's happening.
They're looking at this MRI

1157
01:01:53,200 --> 01:01:55,760
result and they both know what's
going on.

1158
01:01:56,040 --> 01:01:59,000
Yeah, they're, they're saying
that there's signs of atrophy.

1159
01:01:59,320 --> 01:02:02,920
Which is the medical term for
shrinkage, Yeah.

1160
01:02:03,080 --> 01:02:04,640
For something, atrophy is a bit
smaller, yeah.

1161
01:02:05,600 --> 01:02:08,920
Yeah, we're not doctors.
No, but that's what that word

1162
01:02:08,920 --> 01:02:12,920
means, I think.
Yeah, his brain is getting

1163
01:02:12,920 --> 01:02:13,800
small.
It's bad.

1164
01:02:13,800 --> 01:02:15,080
It's not good.
Yeah, it's bad.

1165
01:02:15,080 --> 01:02:16,560
It's bad.
And this is what happened to his

1166
01:02:16,560 --> 01:02:19,600
mother.
Yeah, so we go back to Styles in

1167
01:02:19,600 --> 01:02:22,480
the machine and then we he's
like panicking.

1168
01:02:22,480 --> 01:02:27,680
And then he opened his eyes into
a very scary like dream sequence

1169
01:02:27,680 --> 01:02:31,520
in the MRI room.
Yes, he is now elsewhere and the

1170
01:02:31,840 --> 01:02:37,320
the Nikitzine is back and he is
back at it with his Riddle and

1171
01:02:37,320 --> 01:02:41,920
saying, you know, we might
consider letting them go.

1172
01:02:42,240 --> 01:02:44,400
And Styles is like letting who
go.

1173
01:02:44,800 --> 01:02:48,200
Everyone, whoever meant
something to you, we're going to

1174
01:02:48,200 --> 01:02:50,880
destroy them all.
Yokes.

1175
01:02:51,120 --> 01:02:57,400
One by one and he starts to
unwrap himself.

1176
01:02:57,400 --> 01:03:01,120
He starts to unwrap all of the
band from his head.

1177
01:03:01,680 --> 01:03:06,320
And he's Dylan O'Brien is so
good at the the crying that's

1178
01:03:06,320 --> 01:03:10,200
happening here because he is
like snot dripping from his

1179
01:03:10,200 --> 01:03:18,080
nose, like it's a lot.
And he and Styles finally comes

1180
01:03:18,080 --> 01:03:23,040
to the answer of the, of the
Riddle of what is the Riddle

1181
01:03:23,040 --> 01:03:25,440
again?
Everyone has it, but no one can

1182
01:03:25,440 --> 01:03:27,880
lose it.
And he's like a shadow.

1183
01:03:28,560 --> 01:03:33,920
And the thing unwraps the final
bandage, revealing Styles's own

1184
01:03:34,280 --> 01:03:37,440
face, but with some serious bags
under his eyes.

1185
01:03:37,440 --> 01:03:40,280
With some serious bags under his
eyes for a point of clarity.

1186
01:03:40,280 --> 01:03:43,120
From this moment on, because
it's going to get real

1187
01:03:43,120 --> 01:03:47,520
confusing, there are three
separate characters when we talk

1188
01:03:47,520 --> 01:03:54,120
about what's happening here.
There is Style, Stilinski, one

1189
01:03:54,120 --> 01:03:56,600
possessed regular guy.
Styles prime.

1190
01:03:57,040 --> 01:04:02,640
Styles Prime there is Evil
Styles Void, which we call void,

1191
01:04:03,120 --> 01:04:07,240
and then there's the bandage guy
with the with the teeth who is

1192
01:04:07,240 --> 01:04:09,200
the Nagitzine.
Yeah.

1193
01:04:09,720 --> 01:04:11,960
So that's when we talk about
those characters.

1194
01:04:11,960 --> 01:04:17,720
That's who we're talking about.
Yeah, styles void and it gets an

1195
01:04:17,720 --> 01:04:20,520
A is how we will refer to them.
Exactly.

1196
01:04:20,880 --> 01:04:25,040
So write it down if you need it.
But Void is looking real sleepy

1197
01:04:25,040 --> 01:04:27,200
and real evil, and it's not
good.

1198
01:04:27,640 --> 01:04:31,600
But so as Void is revealed,
Styles wakes up in the MRI

1199
01:04:31,600 --> 01:04:35,200
machine and you can tell on his
face it's Void and it's not

1200
01:04:35,200 --> 01:04:38,200
Styles.
That is, that is 100% not

1201
01:04:38,200 --> 01:04:40,680
styles.
That is void and electricity

1202
01:04:40,680 --> 01:04:44,120
just crackles everywhere
throughout the room, the

1203
01:04:44,120 --> 01:04:47,840
hospital, and then the the body
is gone.

1204
01:04:47,840 --> 01:04:49,320
Styles is gone.
Void's gone.

1205
01:04:49,440 --> 01:04:52,640
In a horrible call back to
season 2, where is my son?

1206
01:04:52,760 --> 01:04:55,960
Where's my son?
I'm so sorry man, life's gonna

1207
01:04:56,080 --> 01:04:57,840
get worse.
It's gonna get worse before it

1208
01:04:57,840 --> 01:04:59,200
gets better.
Really, really sorry.

1209
01:05:00,080 --> 01:05:03,000
So Void is getting dressed up in
like the stripy sweater that he

1210
01:05:03,000 --> 01:05:06,680
was in in the vision and just
very politely, like walks out of

1211
01:05:06,680 --> 01:05:09,080
the the cursed hospital.
It's dark.

1212
01:05:09,080 --> 01:05:11,280
It the power's going.
I can't see shit you.

1213
01:05:11,800 --> 01:05:13,280
Know I was like, what's
happening again?

1214
01:05:13,680 --> 01:05:17,120
It's going on.
Styles comes upon an empty

1215
01:05:17,120 --> 01:05:21,680
hallway and an empty elevator
that is no longer empty.

1216
01:05:23,000 --> 01:05:26,200
No, we've got.
Inside of it, inside of it, we

1217
01:05:26,200 --> 01:05:30,800
have the absolute badass that is
somehow Noshko Yukimura Kira.

1218
01:05:32,960 --> 01:05:36,520
Yeah, we do.
And she proceeds to confront

1219
01:05:36,520 --> 01:05:41,080
Void and asks so do you, do you
know who I am?

1220
01:05:41,080 --> 01:05:43,200
And Boyd says yes.
And so she goes.

1221
01:05:43,480 --> 01:05:46,800
Then you remember that I won't
be deterred by your choice of

1222
01:05:46,800 --> 01:05:51,160
host.
Are you threatening us now?

1223
01:05:51,200 --> 01:05:57,560
I'm threatening you as the only
appear behind her in a puff of

1224
01:05:57,560 --> 01:05:59,320
smoke.
Yeah, they do.

1225
01:06:00,360 --> 01:06:01,920
She's she's gonna kill that
body.

1226
01:06:01,920 --> 01:06:03,240
She's gonna.
She's gonna kill him.

1227
01:06:03,240 --> 01:06:05,480
She's gonna kill him dead.
Yeah, she don't.

1228
01:06:05,480 --> 01:06:06,840
She don't give a fuck who that
is.

1229
01:06:07,200 --> 01:06:11,920
Yeah, so we get hints here that
Noshiko has dealt with the with

1230
01:06:11,920 --> 01:06:15,400
the Nagatine before.
And I think this is the first

1231
01:06:15,400 --> 01:06:17,600
time that we get a hint that
Noshiko might be super.

1232
01:06:17,880 --> 01:06:20,960
Yeah, yeah.
Other than the the the bulb.

1233
01:06:21,680 --> 01:06:22,880
In.
Kira's room.

1234
01:06:22,880 --> 01:06:28,680
Some like suspicious looks, but
yeah, so just showdown, showdown

1235
01:06:29,040 --> 01:06:34,600
beast versus beast.
Except he he walks away because

1236
01:06:35,440 --> 01:06:37,760
Void's like, are you threatening
us?

1237
01:06:38,080 --> 01:06:41,720
And, and she's like, if the Oni
can't defeat you, I know someone

1238
01:06:41,720 --> 01:06:45,160
who will.
And and Void gives her this like

1239
01:06:45,480 --> 01:06:48,640
look over his shoulder and then
walks away.

1240
01:06:50,280 --> 01:06:53,200
So he's he's not quite ready to
tangle.

1241
01:06:53,360 --> 01:06:56,400
Yeah, but I frankly don't
remember who this other person

1242
01:06:56,400 --> 01:06:59,480
is, so looking forward to seeing
how that plays out.

1243
01:07:00,200 --> 01:07:02,280
It's Derek.
Derek's just gonna be like, hey

1244
01:07:02,280 --> 01:07:04,120
buddy, not this one.
Ouch.

1245
01:07:04,840 --> 01:07:08,240
So it turns out this whole time
with all this has been happening

1246
01:07:08,240 --> 01:07:10,680
here, it's just been out hanging
in the parking lot waiting for.

1247
01:07:10,680 --> 01:07:13,320
Derek waiting, yeah.
Is this what is this what

1248
01:07:13,320 --> 01:07:15,200
happened to like Erica and Boyd
and Isaac?

1249
01:07:15,200 --> 01:07:17,480
Were they just like at the mall?
Just like waiting for Derek?

1250
01:07:17,800 --> 01:07:19,640
Yeah, probably it's.
Like hanging out the car.

1251
01:07:19,960 --> 01:07:23,920
Just like doing their homework.
It's dark, she's nervous, she's

1252
01:07:23,920 --> 01:07:28,320
just waiting around outside by
his car, and the loose cable

1253
01:07:28,320 --> 01:07:34,560
from the roof in a very Hercules
in the Hydra kind of way, flails

1254
01:07:34,560 --> 01:07:38,800
and flails and flails off the
roof and goes straight for Kira

1255
01:07:38,800 --> 01:07:42,080
and attacks her.
Cut to black.

1256
01:07:42,760 --> 01:07:44,240
The end.
Dun Dun.

1257
01:07:44,640 --> 01:07:46,520
Oops.
So much happening in this

1258
01:07:46,520 --> 01:07:48,720
episode.
I like, I think she's gonna be

1259
01:07:48,720 --> 01:07:50,120
fine.
Yeah, I think she's gonna be

1260
01:07:50,120 --> 01:07:53,280
fine, but like, Ouch.
Yeah, I think she's gonna be

1261
01:07:53,280 --> 01:07:57,440
fine, but yeah, oof.
I have a beef with this episode.

1262
01:07:57,520 --> 01:07:58,400
I have a beef.
Oh.

1263
01:07:58,520 --> 01:08:04,720
OK, I have a beef, all right.
The like you can you can take

1264
01:08:04,720 --> 01:08:07,280
the starek out of the TV show,
but you can't take the TV show

1265
01:08:07,280 --> 01:08:09,800
out of the starek like I.
Uh huh.

1266
01:08:09,800 --> 01:08:12,440
Yeah.
Derek was only on screen today

1267
01:08:12,680 --> 01:08:15,440
to talk about styles.
Yes, the.

1268
01:08:16,040 --> 01:08:21,040
Whole fucking episode.
Like Derek's just been around

1269
01:08:21,040 --> 01:08:23,800
the whole time.
Like, yes, he's there supporting

1270
01:08:23,800 --> 01:08:25,160
Scott.
Yes, he's learning from Kira.

1271
01:08:25,160 --> 01:08:26,200
Yes, he's doing all these
things.

1272
01:08:26,640 --> 01:08:29,200
But like, Derek picked up the
phone for Scott.

1273
01:08:29,319 --> 01:08:31,399
It's like it's about Styles.
He's like, oh, fucking right,

1274
01:08:31,399 --> 01:08:35,120
let's go.
And then he jumped his Jeep in

1275
01:08:35,120 --> 01:08:40,120
the parking lot and went inside
to hang out with Styles's family

1276
01:08:40,160 --> 01:08:42,200
when Styles was getting an MRI.
Yeah.

1277
01:08:42,680 --> 01:08:44,840
Like they have been because he's
in the love I.

1278
01:08:45,160 --> 01:08:47,359
Mean.
Single handedly holding the ship

1279
01:08:47,359 --> 01:08:54,040
afloat this whole episode like
I've I can't, I cannot I I'm

1280
01:08:54,040 --> 01:08:55,880
wounded, I'm so wounded, I'm so
mad I.

1281
01:08:55,880 --> 01:09:00,040
Do wonder sometimes, like, and,
and honestly, this is a question

1282
01:09:00,040 --> 01:09:03,600
that that we have for every
writer of every TV show where

1283
01:09:03,600 --> 01:09:05,200
there is a ship that doesn't
sail.

1284
01:09:06,040 --> 01:09:08,479
But you're like, do you know
what you're doing or are you

1285
01:09:08,479 --> 01:09:12,279
dumb?
Like, do you just not know?

1286
01:09:12,279 --> 01:09:15,640
Are you like, yeah, are you
just, do you just not know, do

1287
01:09:15,640 --> 01:09:18,960
not understand?
Are you unaware of what you have

1288
01:09:18,960 --> 01:09:22,160
put on screen?
Are you, are you like, not, are

1289
01:09:22,160 --> 01:09:24,520
you homophobic?
But like, did you not?

1290
01:09:25,000 --> 01:09:27,399
Did you not see it?
Did you just like?

1291
01:09:27,399 --> 01:09:30,240
Did you not?
Notice do not see the difference

1292
01:09:30,240 --> 01:09:35,640
between really close male
friendships or female and and

1293
01:09:35,640 --> 01:09:40,319
when it crosses into like man if
my friend did that for me I

1294
01:09:40,319 --> 01:09:42,680
would have questions.
I would have questions.

1295
01:09:43,279 --> 01:09:47,279
And I'm not I'm, you know, I'm
looking at you 911 buddy.

1296
01:09:47,279 --> 01:09:53,000
Like I man, my friend put me in
the will to take care of their

1297
01:09:53,000 --> 01:09:55,160
child.
I'd be like, all right, what are

1298
01:09:55,160 --> 01:09:56,240
we?
Hold on a minute.

1299
01:09:56,240 --> 01:09:59,920
Excuse what?
Are you asking me to marry you?

1300
01:09:59,920 --> 01:10:02,080
Like what are we doing here?
Hold on, hold on.

1301
01:10:02,760 --> 01:10:07,480
So like when when Derek's sole
purpose is in not just in life,

1302
01:10:07,480 --> 01:10:11,040
but like in an episode is to
make sure Styles is OK.

1303
01:10:11,680 --> 01:10:15,040
And then you pretend for like,
the rest of the end to be like,

1304
01:10:15,240 --> 01:10:18,280
yes, I can smell him.
Yeah.

1305
01:10:18,320 --> 01:10:21,080
In this town.
Yeah, this whole town.

1306
01:10:21,080 --> 01:10:21,400
And.
Yeah.

1307
01:10:21,400 --> 01:10:25,000
OK, Scott, you've known him your
whole life and you can't do

1308
01:10:25,000 --> 01:10:26,640
that.
I can.

1309
01:10:26,960 --> 01:10:29,560
I've known him a couple years
and.

1310
01:10:30,080 --> 01:10:32,640
Yeah.
And can pick him out of a crowd

1311
01:10:32,920 --> 01:10:36,160
now.
I think it's still fannin that

1312
01:10:36,520 --> 01:10:39,520
that the Wolves can hear can
pick out heartbeats in a crowd.

1313
01:10:39,520 --> 01:10:41,680
I think that's still fannin.
I don't think they've talked

1314
01:10:41,680 --> 01:10:43,960
about that on the show.
I think that's just in thick,

1315
01:10:43,960 --> 01:10:45,200
but they.
They can.

1316
01:10:45,760 --> 01:10:47,960
They can hear heartbeats cause
like and.

1317
01:10:48,440 --> 01:10:50,840
Detect lies.
Scott listens to Allison's to

1318
01:10:50,840 --> 01:10:54,760
anchor himself and can hear a
blip and a heartbeat for a lie.

1319
01:10:54,760 --> 01:10:57,360
But yeah, they haven't yet had.
They haven't been able to like

1320
01:10:57,680 --> 01:11:00,520
find anybody via.
Heartbeat via heartbeat.

1321
01:11:01,000 --> 01:11:06,040
But they are now saying that
they can decipher specific

1322
01:11:06,280 --> 01:11:12,600
emotion apparently from the wind
on an open rooftop.

1323
01:11:13,200 --> 01:11:16,800
Like bruh.
That's that's not to say that's

1324
01:11:16,800 --> 01:11:19,040
gay, but it's a little gay.
It's I'm, I'm just like a little

1325
01:11:19,040 --> 01:11:19,640
gay.
Just.

1326
01:11:19,800 --> 01:11:24,920
And like I'm and I, you have so
many Legos and you had the kit,

1327
01:11:24,920 --> 01:11:28,240
you had the Lego kit, you built.
You bought all the right pieces

1328
01:11:28,600 --> 01:11:31,400
and instead of building them you
just left them on the floor for

1329
01:11:31,400 --> 01:11:35,000
me to step on.
Yeah, and I, you know, again, I

1330
01:11:35,960 --> 01:11:38,520
don't wanna say like not
everything has to be gay in ATV

1331
01:11:38,520 --> 01:11:40,000
show, but like a few things
could be.

1332
01:11:40,040 --> 01:11:42,480
Yeah, it could.
It could be like a few of these

1333
01:11:42,480 --> 01:11:46,040
characters don't have to be
straight, you know, OK, Danny

1334
01:11:46,360 --> 01:11:49,000
and and Ethan, but like, where
are they?

1335
01:11:49,000 --> 01:11:51,440
They're just in the background
sometimes and and Ethan's a

1336
01:11:51,440 --> 01:11:53,000
fucking murderer.
So like, no thank you.

1337
01:11:53,120 --> 01:11:54,720
Yeah.
And not in a fun way.

1338
01:11:55,120 --> 01:11:58,680
Yeah, it's just I this whole
season strikes me.

1339
01:11:58,680 --> 01:12:02,080
It's just so odd that and of
course I'm coming at this from

1340
01:12:02,080 --> 01:12:03,920
Sterrick, I'm coming at this
with my shipping all goes on.

1341
01:12:03,920 --> 01:12:07,400
Of course I am.
But like all the way, especially

1342
01:12:07,400 --> 01:12:11,560
in 3A, like something changed
between seasons 2 and 3A and

1343
01:12:11,560 --> 01:12:14,000
they spent all of three a
together and built all of this

1344
01:12:14,000 --> 01:12:17,120
relationship only for the just
the the castle gates to just

1345
01:12:17,120 --> 01:12:21,320
shatter.
Derek single handedly carries

1346
01:12:21,320 --> 01:12:25,760
the flame this like entire
season and it gets worse.

1347
01:12:26,680 --> 01:12:31,760
Like there are other things that
we will discuss and then styles

1348
01:12:31,840 --> 01:12:35,200
picks it back up in season 4.
Like I just.

1349
01:12:35,600 --> 01:12:38,040
I've.
I'm not saying they're right,

1350
01:12:38,040 --> 01:12:40,280
I'm not saying they're wrong,
I'm just saying I have

1351
01:12:40,280 --> 01:12:41,640
questions.
Yes.

1352
01:12:42,040 --> 01:12:43,520
And it makes me want to go back
and read fic.

1353
01:12:43,520 --> 01:12:44,600
Fantastic.
Thank you so much.

1354
01:12:45,240 --> 01:12:49,280
Oh, 100% And then, you know, I
mean, I'm, I'm honestly too deep

1355
01:12:49,680 --> 01:12:52,200
in the weeds right now with like
the buddy fandom to read

1356
01:12:52,200 --> 01:12:54,240
anything else.
I can't.

1357
01:12:54,320 --> 01:12:55,840
I'm knee deep in the passenger
seat.

1358
01:12:55,840 --> 01:12:59,200
Honestly I can't go anywhere
else for for fick right now but.

1359
01:12:59,240 --> 01:13:02,760
And I just, I have to say, like,
we thank Style Stilinski for the

1360
01:13:02,760 --> 01:13:05,000
work that he did so that Evan
Buckley could run.

1361
01:13:05,280 --> 01:13:10,640
Yes, style Stilinski crawled
through broken glass so Evan

1362
01:13:10,640 --> 01:13:11,480
Buckley could fly.
So.

1363
01:13:11,840 --> 01:13:15,120
He could kiss boys on TV.
So he could kiss boys on TV and

1364
01:13:15,120 --> 01:13:17,800
now if he could just pick the
right one, that would be great.

1365
01:13:18,360 --> 01:13:20,160
I mean.
Actually, it's so the other one

1366
01:13:20,160 --> 01:13:22,720
could get over his Catholic
guilt and hopefully that might

1367
01:13:22,720 --> 01:13:23,800
happen this season.
I don't know.

1368
01:13:24,320 --> 01:13:27,040
Crossing all of our fingers.
I'm I'm, I'm crossing my fingers

1369
01:13:27,040 --> 01:13:30,200
for you.
You know it, we'll find out and

1370
01:13:30,200 --> 01:13:32,680
if not, I survived 15 years of
supernatural.

1371
01:13:32,680 --> 01:13:36,080
So like been there, done that.
We can discuss what's happening

1372
01:13:36,080 --> 01:13:37,640
in the Buddy Phantom another
time.

1373
01:13:37,640 --> 01:13:44,880
Because I want to be like, chill
my babies, like Bros Broskis my

1374
01:13:44,880 --> 01:13:48,760
children, my young fans.
Bros brothers, brothers just.

1375
01:13:49,120 --> 01:13:52,040
Fucking chill like they have to
do it.

1376
01:13:52,040 --> 01:13:53,240
No, they don't.
No, they don't.

1377
01:13:53,520 --> 01:13:54,960
No, they don't.
And you know what?

1378
01:13:55,000 --> 01:13:56,880
They might never do it.
And.

1379
01:13:57,920 --> 01:14:00,240
And have you never seen the TV
show before?

1380
01:14:00,240 --> 01:14:03,640
Have you on the network?
Would you like to to to go back

1381
01:14:03,640 --> 01:14:06,600
through the annals of phantom
history for reals?

1382
01:14:06,600 --> 01:14:10,440
Let us, let us walk.
Like, let me guide, let me take

1383
01:14:10,440 --> 01:14:15,200
your sweet little hands and
guide you through the last 60

1384
01:14:15,200 --> 01:14:18,520
years of television.
Like, anyway, yeah, I don't

1385
01:14:18,520 --> 01:14:21,040
know.
I just, I not being able to ask

1386
01:14:21,040 --> 01:14:26,200
the writers anything makes the
the exercise purely theoretical,

1387
01:14:26,640 --> 01:14:28,160
right?
Of course you had you had these

1388
01:14:28,160 --> 01:14:32,520
Legos and they're beautiful and
you put them together almost

1389
01:14:32,960 --> 01:14:34,280
right.
Like you you.

1390
01:14:34,360 --> 01:14:36,360
I wish you could see the hand
gestures I'm doing right now.

1391
01:14:36,360 --> 01:14:38,800
They're insane.
I.

1392
01:14:39,080 --> 01:14:41,640
And like, the thing about like
Teen Wolf in particular is that

1393
01:14:41,640 --> 01:14:45,160
like, we focus a lot on the
Steric, on the Styles and

1394
01:14:45,160 --> 01:14:48,000
Derrick Legos.
But you cannot tell me you did

1395
01:14:48,000 --> 01:14:50,200
not build those Legos with
Allison and Lydia.

1396
01:14:50,200 --> 01:14:52,680
You cannot tell me that you did
not build those Legos with Scott

1397
01:14:52,680 --> 01:14:55,720
and Isaac.
You cannot tell me that you did

1398
01:14:55,720 --> 01:14:59,240
not build those Legos with Liam
and Theo, who we will meet in

1399
01:14:59,240 --> 01:15:01,920
Season 5.
I saw a gift set of them the

1400
01:15:01,920 --> 01:15:03,480
other day just randomly and I
was like.

1401
01:15:03,960 --> 01:15:06,640
Huh.
All right, the way Scott and

1402
01:15:06,640 --> 01:15:15,320
Derek went from like enemies to
allies to like family to lovers

1403
01:15:15,480 --> 01:15:21,520
so that Liam and Theo could
could run by the end of it,

1404
01:15:21,520 --> 01:15:24,160
you're just like, I'm sorry, are
you 2 not fucking 'cause it

1405
01:15:24,160 --> 01:15:27,040
really the the the faces here
are saying otherwise.

1406
01:15:28,400 --> 01:15:32,280
Like they just they they're
they're pros at building Legos

1407
01:15:33,360 --> 01:15:37,040
and I just they just don't put
any of them together like the

1408
01:15:37,040 --> 01:15:39,880
instructions and I'm I'm just
leaves me a lot of Barbies to

1409
01:15:39,880 --> 01:15:41,040
play with is what it does.
Yeah.

1410
01:15:41,320 --> 01:15:43,840
Yeah, it does.
So many Barbies, so little time.

1411
01:15:44,760 --> 01:15:47,440
That's the joy of fandom in the
end.

1412
01:15:47,600 --> 01:15:50,560
Indeed, that's why it's the
better the writing.

1413
01:15:50,560 --> 01:15:53,200
It just you leave not enough
space.

1414
01:15:53,600 --> 01:15:56,280
That's the, that's the axis.
I can never remember which way

1415
01:15:56,280 --> 01:16:00,640
axes go.
But the better the show, the

1416
01:16:00,640 --> 01:16:05,120
less the fandom 'cause we don't
need you but but the worse the

1417
01:16:05,120 --> 01:16:08,200
show, the better the OR the
maybe the more disappointing the

1418
01:16:08,200 --> 01:16:09,480
show.
Like you have to decide on your

1419
01:16:09,480 --> 01:16:15,400
terminology but like the the the
less fulfilling, the less the

1420
01:16:15,400 --> 01:16:18,680
more space in the show, the
better the fandom.

1421
01:16:18,920 --> 01:16:23,600
Yeah, because you have to.
You have to be able to have

1422
01:16:23,600 --> 01:16:26,640
these characters you care about
and these plots that you find

1423
01:16:26,640 --> 01:16:30,200
interesting and these scenarios
that you find fun in order to

1424
01:16:30,200 --> 01:16:32,960
have a sandbox and dolls to play
with.

1425
01:16:33,520 --> 01:16:36,000
Yeah.
Like if I didn't think that the

1426
01:16:36,000 --> 01:16:39,720
Nematon and Beacon Hills was
interesting, or if I didn't

1427
01:16:39,720 --> 01:16:44,160
think that Scott or Stiles or
Lydia or Derek were interesting,

1428
01:16:44,600 --> 01:16:47,200
then I'd have no that I have no
reason to play.

1429
01:16:47,760 --> 01:16:49,280
Yeah, I wouldn't care.
Wouldn't care.

1430
01:16:49,360 --> 01:16:51,600
Also, by the way, when are we
going to get together and ride

1431
01:16:51,600 --> 01:16:53,120
our ride, our pilot ride, our
pitch?

1432
01:16:54,240 --> 01:16:57,200
The pitch Just Dylan O'Brien and
Tyler Heckland doing like a

1433
01:16:57,200 --> 01:16:58,760
buddy comedy where they fall in
love.

1434
01:16:58,800 --> 01:17:01,280
Sounds incredible, no?
My my fun pitch.

1435
01:17:01,280 --> 01:17:04,840
And if anyone wants to like make
this ATV show, like hit a fandom

1436
01:17:04,840 --> 01:17:05,920
up.
Hold on.

1437
01:17:05,920 --> 01:17:07,720
If you say that, then you give
them the rights.

1438
01:17:08,080 --> 01:17:10,600
Fine, please don't do that
without actually asking me

1439
01:17:10,600 --> 01:17:12,800
because I want to be involved
because it sounds like a lot of

1440
01:17:12,800 --> 01:17:14,520
fun.
The trademark trademark trade

1441
01:17:14,520 --> 01:17:16,560
and actually that doesn't
actually work for the trademark

1442
01:17:16,560 --> 01:17:19,320
anything I.
Like I want to do.

1443
01:17:19,360 --> 01:17:22,880
I want to see one that is just
about a use.

1444
01:17:23,720 --> 01:17:25,640
Oh yes, that's right, I remember
this.

1445
01:17:25,840 --> 01:17:28,720
I just want, you know, through
this, like through the first

1446
01:17:28,720 --> 01:17:31,120
season, you get to know these
casts of characters and you get

1447
01:17:31,120 --> 01:17:34,840
to know they're like they're
don't forget your jacket new kid

1448
01:17:34,840 --> 01:17:38,960
or don't be such a sour wolf.
But to just have like 45 minute,

1449
01:17:39,240 --> 01:17:44,080
you know, dramedy episodes or
whatever of the same kind of AU

1450
01:17:44,160 --> 01:17:49,360
focusing on one pair at a time.
So the coffee shop episode or

1451
01:17:49,360 --> 01:17:53,640
the police officer episode or
the veterinary clinic episode or

1452
01:17:53,720 --> 01:17:58,920
the sci-fi episode or the
Western episode with just like

1453
01:17:58,920 --> 01:18:01,360
these two Barbies that you want
to smash together.

1454
01:18:01,760 --> 01:18:06,400
And then just every season focus
on different Barbies, just where

1455
01:18:06,400 --> 01:18:11,400
you fall in love with concepts
of characters in different

1456
01:18:11,400 --> 01:18:13,240
scenarios.
Just a giant love letter to

1457
01:18:13,240 --> 01:18:14,840
fandom.
Yep, Yep, Yep.

1458
01:18:14,840 --> 01:18:17,960
I remember that.
It sounds so fun and it's so

1459
01:18:17,960 --> 01:18:19,960
easy to fuck up because
everybody has their own thoughts

1460
01:18:19,960 --> 01:18:23,400
and feelings.
But until then, I will roll

1461
01:18:23,400 --> 01:18:26,280
around in the beloved everything
of fandom.

1462
01:18:26,640 --> 01:18:27,880
Yes.
Indeed.

1463
01:18:28,840 --> 01:18:31,240
Which is basically, I mean, the
podcast is a love letter to

1464
01:18:31,240 --> 01:18:32,640
fandom in the end, so.
It is.

1465
01:18:33,520 --> 01:18:35,200
You guys know this.
We love Teen Wolf.

1466
01:18:35,200 --> 01:18:36,840
We do.
We wouldn't sit here and spend

1467
01:18:36,840 --> 01:18:38,720
all of our time and our energy
doing it otherwise.

1468
01:18:39,360 --> 01:18:40,600
Literally.
Truly.

1469
01:18:40,760 --> 01:18:44,640
Truly.
It's would not re watch it again

1470
01:18:44,640 --> 01:18:48,200
if I didn't want to.
Yeah, yeah, so.

1471
01:18:48,600 --> 01:18:51,480
But I like it.
To say we love Teen Wolf and we

1472
01:18:51,480 --> 01:18:55,480
love you and it's just this is
so much fun and we are on the

1473
01:18:55,480 --> 01:18:58,480
roller coaster in Season 3 B and
everything's going to get worse.

1474
01:18:58,480 --> 01:19:01,040
It's all going to get worse and
nobody's going to be safe and

1475
01:19:01,040 --> 01:19:02,480
nobody's going to have a good
time.

1476
01:19:02,720 --> 01:19:04,960
Ouch.
Yeah, yeah.

1477
01:19:05,040 --> 01:19:08,200
No, they are not.
Well, I mean, at least it's

1478
01:19:08,200 --> 01:19:10,720
enjoyable to watch as it
happens.

1479
01:19:10,720 --> 01:19:12,520
Oh yeah, super good so.
There's that.

1480
01:19:12,840 --> 01:19:14,840
That's that's the upside.
Indeed.

1481
01:19:15,400 --> 01:19:17,960
OK, well I guess that's the end
of this episode, right?

1482
01:19:18,120 --> 01:19:19,280
I think we could.
We covered everything.

1483
01:19:19,440 --> 01:19:20,880
Yep, and more.
And more.

1484
01:19:21,360 --> 01:19:25,720
And more So, yeah, you can come
